I know this may sound dumb, but maybe update Steam? Or maybe right click on Dead Space in your Library and select check for updates. Let me know how it goes if it has not been resolved.

You must click on "Setup" than is where a install button and then is there a button "repair"

is this te bit where te dude gets torn apart on that side of te screen? btw i think its an instillation error, or if this is on an xbox maybe your disk is fucked up. if its an instillation error, then just uninstall it, and then reinstall it. simple as that. if its the disk, then get a new disk.

i think the problem is steam.. cuz if you buy the game without steam you won't get any kind of these bugs.. you also get a patch updater that's only for the EA pc games

They may be able to patch it up, if you can get in touch with them, the bug is in the way of the story line, preventing you from playing it, they should fix it, as you paid money for it?

Wait, you downloaded the game from steam?, that figures, sometimes downloading games from there have bugs, and I am sorry to say, I think it will be inevitable to get past it.

I downloaded Dark Messiah Might and Magic from Steam ages ago, and it had bugs, not as bad as this one however, you have played through a lot of the game, it must be very annoying for you.
