George is obviously uninformed. i don't think anyone should call themselves atheists unless they've read the Bible and/or other Religion's Holy books, otherwise they don't know what they don't believe in. but that will never happen. anyone who calls themselves atheist will not look for answers for their questions in the Bible if they have already convinced themselves that it is false.

WRONG...Carlin did not think that life goes beyond faith. Watch the end of his "Saving the Planet" video. He was not religious of course, but he clearly makes a statement of faith in that piece. That's all a matter of semantics, "god," "universal consciousness," or "The Big Electron" as Carlin says. Carlin clearly states that he thinks we are all part of something "far greater than we can conceive of." Does that sound like something an atheist would say? That's all a matter of semantics, "god," "universal consciousness," or "The Big Electron" as Carlin says. Carlin clearly states that he thinks we are all part of something "far greater than we can conceive of." Does that sound like something an atheist would say? It's pretty clear he believes in something, but doesn't want to use "God" to describe it, because that term's association with organized religion often invokes justifiable disgust. But definitely NOT atheist

If there was nothing to begin with, then nothing could have been created. But the world does exist, as does the rest of creation. Since there could never have absolutely nothing there must have always been something in existence, and this is God. God has therefore always been in existence and was not "created".

We are not unable to comprehend how these things can come to pass, nor can we explain the mysteries of God and his ways. This is where faith comes in.
