  • @ghostie7790 The "guy in the green" is actually Harold Hill! He is showcasing his incredible acting.

  • @nrobinsn are you being serious or joking? :O

  • @leetfeetman serious! It's him!

  • @nrobinsn lol man i wish i had a group of friends who knew this movie and this song so we could just walk onto some random bus or tramway etc. and sing it XD

  • @nrobinsn Would have been great if they could have timed the subway stop for "Hill" to finish his dialogue. Probably would have either freaked out the other travelers, too. :)

  • I put on The Music Man my sophomore year of high school, and it has lived on as one of my favorite musicals of all time. I've always wondered what would happen if I gathered a group together to perform it on public transport, so I'm glad someone cooler's beaten me to it.

Best part though? Guy in the green shirt, lower right-hand corner, is the guy who played Professor Hill in my high school production six years ago. We went to high school in California. Talk about coincidence.

  • @velvetviolets lol! he kinda looks like gene wilder! but, at least one person on the train knew what the song was from!

  • You guys win at life. :D

  • Great!!! Well done!!! Bravo! Totally funny, too, the reactions of the other people on the train -- acting like nothing special was happening. Ha ha! Well, lots of people clapped, off camera, anyway. Guess they knew the territory. :-)

  • You guys ROCK!!! :D

  • OMG, that absolutely MADE my day! You guys are the "Improv Everywhere" of Boston, at least in terms of public spectacle and bravery. :) I'm putting this on my Facebook page. Yesss sir. Yesss sir. Yesss sir.

  • Love it

  • This is great. Good job guys.

  • That was brilliant. :D

  • aahhaaa

    so good

  • The guy sitting next to them who leave around 2:30... he's laughing most of the time. PS: The Music Man is printed on their shirts lol. I'm sure that everyone got a kick outta that.

  • Fucking Class lads.

We're doing a production of this in school.

    That's savage xD

  • Yes! =D Most epic video on YT.

  • Brilliant! I'm doing this with my school now...if only I could get all the salesmen and newspaper readers on a train together xD

  • My mind has been blown. Thank you.

  • lol wow that was awesome! lol

i never understood the meaning though... like "but you gotta know the territory!" is it supposed to mean something?

    keep it up!

  • @torresxrocks The territory is the area and demographics in/to which a salesmen pitches his goods. Hill traveled wherever he may, without thinking ahead about whether the people needed or wanted his goods, or even if they could afford it. He didn't know, nor care about, the territory.

  • oh! thanks, very helpful! =]

  • WELL SAID M'BOY......NOW LOOKIE HERE...NOW I KNOW WHAT YA SAYIN TO YAWSELF...I FEEL FINE! wELL SHAW YA DEW...BUT MY FRIEND LEMMIE TELL YA..THIS MR. RICHARDS OPIUM ELIXUR IS THE THING YOU NEED...AND YOU MAMME' WHAT WITH THE COUGH GOING ON ROUND THESE PARTS......

WHADAYATALK BOUT THAT? hAHAHAH

  • @Triundi Because, of course, he was a huckster -- a fake. That's why he didn't behave like the other traveling salesmen and perplexed them so.

  • Hahaha! LOVE IT!

  • that was realy good you guys!!! i htink the people on the train liked it too ^_^

  • Niiice... Really enjoyed it...whadayatalk??

  • Nice job guys. I recall this from 60's soundtrack. Took me a second..lol

  • That was absolutely fantastic!

I'm kinda curious how many of the people on the T actually understood where that was from.

  • @BRS94043 Was wondering that myself.

  • This looks like theey are on the Long Island Railroad. It's pretty funny that everyone not in their group is ignoring them, but you know they're listening.

  • Brilliant.

  • Love it. Great job... !

  • wow, this is amazing.

  • Some friends and I have been planning to do that for some time. Perhaps we shall, and then I shall post a response. Brilliant performance, gentlemen.

  • Awesome job!!!

  • That...was nothing short of brilliant -- and ballsy.

  • You guys are the best. I love this. I wish I was there. But you gotta know the territory!

  • awesomely done guys! especially being younger guys...you did EXCELLENT!!! i always worry when someone tries to do this stint and you guys PULLED IT OFF WITH FLYING COLORS!!!! Great Job!

  • I wish i was one of them!

  • Absolutely awesome! I would love to get on a bus or train and sing with a group of friends.

  • Oh my gosh.

Wow. You guys are really good!

It kinda scares me how good you are.

    (:

  • That is just awesome!!!

I only know a couple people who would know the song, let alone sing it!

  • I'd totally do this if I could get all the other salesmen onto a train.

  • Insane to do it public but I would have been there myself if I had the chance.
