The woman doing this interview is horrible. She's too loud & it's obvious that she's young & inexperienced. She needed to stop interrupting the guest. She's talking too loud & too much. Where the hell is her producer, engineer or program director? Chris never had a chance to answer the questions or inform the audience as to what he needed to or wanted to say. Great guest & subject matter, poor host & lousy interviewer. Another wasted opportunity. She needs coaching & training now.
she was a little overbearing in this interview. she just need to letchris jasper just talk more and she just need to stick to the questions and not dominate the interview
Not to mention, she practically insulted him in front of his face by continuously referring to the outfits they wore from back in the day. Doen't she know that many bands (e.g. Commodores, Gap Band) styled themsevles in this way to be fashionable?!?! It's in the same vein as Nikki Minaj and Katy Perry, except magazines praise them for whatever they wear. What a shame.
The girl doing the interviews is just TERRIBLE! My heart goes out to Mr. Jasper for even taking the time. I feel bad for him to be interviewed by someone who really don't know her subject matter. You can tell by how young and naive she sounds. She needs to do her research before inquiring about certain questions. Clearly she didn't realize she was sitting across from a legend.
Dear Lil B, IM GAY 2 I remember it all When we stood tall and said we'd never fall It was in the beggining When we said it'll never end Our love is eternal Like earth, fire, and wind I remember our love and how I lost it You gave it to me to early So I lost it I thought you were lying So I started crying I'm sorry for chasing you away But we back now and our love won't stop Because you believe in love and I believe in love and together baby We CAN be true love. Love, Me
your right chris did a great interview, the lady is way too loud let chris tell the story,
i met ronald isley in NYC 1989, he didn"t say why the group went seperate ways,he said it was time too move on can't live in the past,he is right bout that, i agree if the 4 brothers would have reunion, the tour would have great support
@bassman1585 the older 3 had tax problems going back to the Motown days. Kelly and Rudy controlled the money and the group....they didn't want Chris and Ernie sing songs. Finally the group had an opp to get a larger advance with Warner Bros. The younger ones wanted to stay at CBS. They broke up afterward.
Listening to the interview is very hard because this person interviewing Mr. Jasper is very loud & obnoxious. For one, there's no need to yell if you're on a microphone already, and also...when you ask a question, let the person answer without any interruptions.
@LashahVideo I agree, but I still enjoyed the interview. Maybe because Chris was really relaxed and clear with his answers. She really needs to work on that, because if I was annoyed by it I'm sure some of the people she interviews will be too. She needs to calm down and not sound so anxious to ask & follow-up on questions.
Hey MsDrama ... First of all, you need to stop talkin so damned loud. Secondly, you need to let the subject of your interview tell their story without interjecting. Chris Jasper is an articulate brotha, he doesn't need your loud mouth interrupting. Just tone it down!
@woodzman100 I HATE wanna BE journalists. Its always about OBNOXIOUS. Dude you are 4tunate. Chris has always been my favorite keyboard player. I often try to emulate him when I record or when Im just practicing.
BTW, is the person interviewing Chris Jasper some 20-year-kid? What is up with the fixation on what The Isley Brothers wore on the album covers? I know it's common to see acts today go to Abercrombie & Fitch to buy their stage gear, but goodness -- you're talking about a key member of one of the greatest bands in soul music history, and you're fixated on their outfits they wore in the '70s?
Chris i think you guys should do what needs to be done and get together i know in my heart that fans everywhere would love to see jus one more cd from you guys!!! like you said you guys were family and all families have minor fights and disagreements, your just a part of the isleys just like the others you helped build that group to where it is, even today!!!!!!!!
Ernie and Ron need to team back up. I'm a huge Isley fan but honestly Ron's solo album was somewhat disappointing. You can't have the "Isley" sound without Ernie's guitar riffs on the tracks. And @ Chris I'm glad at least you and Ernie have some lines of communication. Tell Ron "can't we all get along".. lol c'mon bros.. do it for the fans!
This interviewer SUCKS! You can tell she has no idea what she's talking about...

She needs to use a headset. Turn up to max volume. She cant hear herself. As for tactful interviewing techniques...i dont know.

I truly miss the Isley Brothers. I am saddened by Marvin's death. To see Ernie, Chris, Ronald and Rudolph reunite and tour would be great!!!
