They've been sued over that. Once they paid a small fine. Another case is not yet settled.

If his concept that "government isn't there for helping people but for protecting their rights" were actually believed by this group, they would support Paul, not oppose him. "Neocons", here, not the real thing. Maybe a "false-flag" operation would be more accurate, but it's sad that they pretend so well.

This ad is disingenuous at best. Rand Paul is against agricultural subsidies. He is against the EPA regulating the energy marketplace. He told the truth about coal - it's not desirable, but it's cheap and effective. Besides, he doesn't want the government picking winners and losers.

If this is the best they've got, Rand Paul should sleep easy. It's no secret that coal *is* one of the worst forms of energy (polluting, dangerous to mine, unsustainable because it's a depleting fossil fuel).
I'm sure that in talking about economics Rand has said plenty about creating jobs in Kentucky, even if he didn't specifically say "This is about creating jobs in Kentucky."
Technically he's even right about Iran -- the problem isn't Iran as a country having nukes, it's the current rulers.

I googled up a web page that says this is from the same group that did the Swiftboats ads and the Willie Horton ads. According to the web site, they have very deep pockets, including one guy who refines ethanol. They claim to be a non-partisan, non-profit group not answerable to the Federal Election Commission because they never directly ask people to vote for or against a particular candidate. They've been sued over that. Once they paid a small fine. Another case is not yet settled.
