@ms713ptwn My doctors name is Marco Mora Rubio and surgery was at a local hospital here in mexicali mexico! The whiole treatment was around 20,000 in the end (braces, xrays, surgery, hospital etc..)
I got my surgery about 4 weeks ago ( I live in Michigan in US). My braces were about 5000, getting my wisdom teeth out was like 1200, the surgery itself was about 6500 (i only had work on my lower jaw) anesthesiologist was like...1500, hospital bills (because i was in a private room) was about 4500. So total was like....18,700. So not too much more. I'm just estimating, I know I missed somethings because without insurance the doctors were estimating for me about 24,000. Luckily, we had insurance
i wish it was that cheap here in mexico. You had to wait 3 years....to get accepted into what?? I just went and started the process that same day of my first appointment. My hopes are that I will get jaw surgery by August, but I still dont know , I will probably know sometime in june. I just want to get it before I start school, if not I will have to wait until December break to get the surgery and that is to long, i am desperate for the surgery, And thanks for the good hopes!! same to you!!
well at the time when i wanted to get my teeth fixed my didn't didn't have a job
so we were looking for cheaper alternatives
and then we found this program in University of Toronto were real docs do the surgery to patients as a lesson to the interns at first i was just like " what on earth.." then i did some research and talking to ppl and found out that they have a pretty good reputation and they've doing these for a long time and alot of ppl apply for this every year so ihad to wait3yrs
Yikes.. your video made me realize how lucky i am to live in Canada. My surgery is on May 23rd and isn't costing anything except for a few hundred dollars for post surgery supplies. My braces cost around 5000 Canadian dollars and my wisdom teeth extraction was free. ( I have TMJ though so mine may be necessary).
Really... I wish it was that cheap here...however i know for a fact that it is just a little cheaper than the U.S. but its similar since I do live on the Border but price doesnt matter to me now..im just glad im getting surgery soon!! Im so excited!! And yes you are LUCKY..!! =D and how cool is that, wisdom teeth extractions for FREE>....you lucky youuu..... well take care!! and keep in touch!!
I'm just starting this process, my braces go on in a few weeks and surgery will be 15-17 months after that. I don't have the complete price breakdown on hand but it is going to cost about $20k for surgery and another $12k for braces (I'm doing iBraces which cost twice as much but totally worth it!) My insurance will pay for 80% of the surgery...
Wow!! those braces are expensive and shoot they better be worth it hehe...and well that is pretty lucky that insurance covers it....most insurances dont cover this type of surgery since it is mostly done for cosmetic purposes and not exactly for necessary purposes, or is it really necessary in your case??
ooh hey and thanks for the good luck..same to you =D
please tell me what doctors and hospital u went to and was the cost of the whole treatment with or without insurance
