I think Fire and Sword is 99% flat, while Warband has deserts with rolling dunes and Khergit hills, mountains of various types, and plateaus.

Don't believe you answered what game we were talking about. Were you referring to the Mount and Blade series as a whole or just the first 2?

Damn the Cavalry is powerful in this game. I have like 6 swadian knights 11khergit lancers, 7 Vaegir knights, 9 khergit veterran cavalry archers and 6 mamuluks from Saradian, and they were enough to kill 300 headed army with only 3 deaths. Ofc I have some nords and other people for castle fights, but on plains cavalry rocks!
