Man, Maurice probably had the best stamina of any heavyweight fighter-boxing, kickboxing, or MMA. He wasnt' even breathing hard between rounds 11 and 12!!

Gotta give it to Stan for hanging in there, but his trouble was he was always too offense-minded. In all the times I've seen him fight, (many) he hardly ever checked the leg kick, which let his opponent wear him down over the long haul. Even Rick Roufus (not really a leg kicker) attacked his legs effectively in their fight in 2000.

Stan creamed Maurice in the rematch

Stan showed great courage, huge heart, to keep going on with it. Nearly stole it in the first couple of rounds, we should all be proud of him. Maurice was relentless and methodical, seems he never got out of second gear. Seems he could have taken stan out with leg thigh kicks any time after round 7. Stan would be almost unbeatable at 85-90kg.

Those commentators have no idea what they are talking about! Who are they??? Great fight though! Stan showed guts in the later rounds and Maurice showed his experience. The fight to me could have gone either way. I had it scored 116-116 a draw. Stan winning the early rounds, the middle rounds were even and Maurice finished the stronger to win the later rounds.
