@keghamminas thanks dearest keghamminas for this lovely share, i did watch Mike Connors movies always, he is a very good actor but most of all a man with a golden heart,
Michael Weatherly (NCIS) just tweeted a pic of his golf foursome which included Robert Wagner and our dear Mannix. MC looks as good today as in this two-yr-old iview!
I don't know how true this is...I think I read it in the Globe newspaper and they had a picture of him they said he's in back shape...seems all the injuries from the show, he did a lot of fight scenes etc. but he certainly seem oks here.
I agree the show was a hit because here's a tough guy that also showed his emotions at times...he was like a real person to me watching him every week.
yes. like it says mike connors IS mannix. it wasnt mike connors starring as mannix. mannix is the greatest show ever made. we were very lucky to grow up watching it .season 5 is coming out on dvd in july. make sur you get it.
ALRIGHT!!!! Mannix was a show my mom would watch after sending me to bed. I remember hearing the music of this great T.V show. Thanks for posting this!!!
Wow. A blast from the past as they once would say. One of those classic TV shows getting lost in the mist of time, a favorite of so many It's fascinating that was brought back, for a moment anyway, into the public eye. He's definitely a class act. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for putting this up. I was so glad to see he's had a good life away from the negative influences that can be found in Hollywood and hit some hard. Love this show when I was a kid. I'd like to see it again.
Mike Conner reprise his role in Dick Van Dyke TV series Diagnosis Murder & last played the great Private Detective in Nobody Knows anything. That movie I never saw but him in Diangnosis Murder I did see couple of times.
Mike Conners did a lot of his own stunts, often taking a lot of accidental "real" hits! Yeah he was a tough guy alright, pulling off trick moves before the WWF came along and sustaining the lumps which often were carried into the story line. He seemed to be always coming back to the office limping with bleeding cuts while Peggy had to patch him up! The "Real Men" of Hollywood are sadly fading away. We could use a few more politically incorrect tough guys to inject some manhood into Hollywood.
Mike Conners, Jack Lord, Robert Conrad . . . men were men back then. Too many wimpy characters today. Jack Bauer picked up on the theme, now he's gone.
He actually looks as though he could do Mannix today. He must've always have been in great shape. Afterall when he was doing so many action scenes in Mannix he was pushing 50. He seems like a great guy. No swelled head.
@FylthyBeest I treasure Mike Connors too. It's O'Reilly that injects the politics. And resorting to name-calling like you just did only affirms how classless YOU are. You and O'Reilly deserve each other.
@greenpete58 Though I disagree with what you originally said, I do agree with you that name calling is inappropriate. I should not have done that and you have my apology.
Strange interview. Like watching Beauty and the Beast. The clown O'Reilly kept trying to theme the interview into a 'rail against the Hollywood elite' segment. Connors has too much class to be on FOX.
mike connors IS and always be mannix. the best show ever made on tv. mike IS THE class act. no question. we`love you mike and thank you for all the hapiness you gave us growing up watching your show. mike is not only a class act but a gentleman as well.
I painted the outside of his house at the lake this past summer. What a great guy, warm and friendly. His wife is really sweet too. Who would have known that while watching Mannix back in the 70's I would one day be painting his home?
@tallpaul521 Did you know him from sometime in the past? I am doing more work for him later this spring on his boat dock and I will relay any message.
@888kward Did not know him. I met him at the Magic Castle night club in Hollywood where I was appearing. I'm just a big fan and I want to wish him well.
Glad to hear that he's really as nice as he appears to be -- rare in the entertainment biz.
Its so great to see this guy is alive and looks so well...I remember warching Mannix back in the 70's with my Grandad on channel 2 in Brooklyn. I really loved this show as a kid and the guest actors were on everything...going from show to show back then. I felt like I knew them all...
A young Dawn Lynn from"My Three Sons"was on that show.I wish that I knew the name of the young fellow who played"Toby Fair"..The son of "Mrs.Peggy Fair"..Ms.Gail Fisher's son?
Mike Conners was the best. He ran a tight ship on his show and had no room for nonsense. I read somewhere he ran numerous people off the set who weren't prepared for thier roles. Last I heard he campaigned for Ronald Reagan for President in 1984 but after that I haven't seen him hardly at all in anything.
go joe, sept 1967. i loved this show. joe hello to you. if you read this. does he have a web site. i grew up with you sat nights. i always rooted for you.
This is my favorite show out of the detective 70's show. I hope they do a movie about Mannix. If they do, I want it to be a straight edge story, not a spoof.
I watched it on Cloo, and its still a great show to watch, so many years later !! The show brings back my childhood..

Mannix is a great show. Cloo has it on right now. Back to back to back episodes. Mike Connors is great!

O'Reiley kept trying to turn this into a conservative bullshit rap and Connors wouldn't have it. Connors at 83 could still whip a wimp like Bill.
