Believe they meant to show that the aircraft entered an uncontrolled flat spin once the pilot passed out -- vice its plummeting to the ground, in which case nothing/no one would have been left. Still hard to bail out from such a plane, tho. Note the chauffeur enters Zorka's car from the curb side, and slides over -- this was the most common method for years. Excellent "Nubian" robot.
