Yes, I agree. This is a biased and uncomplete news report, typical of the french media about Algeria. The majority of Algerians have no desire to migrate, apart from petty criminals, hookers and homosexuals for obvious reasons. Even college Graduates are not willing to go to Europe, because it's no longer financially attractive. My family is from that wilaya, I was there last month on holiday and saw it for myself.

president bouteflika is building nice housing everywhere but there are no jobs. he builds in the wrong places and without infrastructure. it is no wonder people are disillusioned. many young people have great qualifications but no way of getting a job and are reduced to sell ciggarets on the road or just try to make money any way they can. even worse is the situation for berber. most are still very uneducated and very poor. algeria has still a lot of changing to do before things will get better

I am german, married to an algerian man for 20 years and living in england, I have just come back from staying 7 weeks in algeria. it still is a very male orientated country and I still now often feel uncomfortable when going out by myself even I don't dress provocative or very european.
