@chonkae yeah i mean, when she does that, usually only when playing the song acoustic, she like changes the phrasing and that would definitely mess you up from time to time. idk why she does that sometimes. i guess to change it up a bit, make it feel more stripped down, but its hard to stay with it when you're changing the phrasing and tempo completely.

Every performer messes up and I think it's cool to see that because it shows they are like everyone else. I am amazed at Tegan's guitar playing and the way she strums and I always wonder if she uses a special guitar tuning with a lot of her songs. I think T&S are great songwriters and performers. They are great girls too!!

Thanks tibbakoi. I thought they did have different tunings because I tried playing along with my guitar and sometimes it didn't sound like theirs. Do you like the new CD Sainthood? I love it. :)

I like it :) Still think I prefer The Con better though... I'm learning Back in Your Head atm, and the tuning Sara uses is E D# A# D# G E. Of all things! But I've moved it a string lower, its easier to tune and she doesnt use the two Es. Oh, and theres a capo on 2nd. Where do these creative tunings come from!?

I've always wondered about different tunings also. I think they just fiddle around with the tunings until they get something they like. It's amazing right with The Con and Sainthood how many great songs they come up with. I admire their talent. :)

Yeah!! Thanks so much for sharing this video!! For some reason, I love when Tegan (and Sara) mess up a song. It is generally pretty funny and it is just part of what it means to do live music. Sometimes mistakes happen and it is interesting to see how the artist deals with it.

you're welcome! i love it when they mess up too, since they usually make the best of it and it ends up somehow being hilarious. i actually started a playlist of all of my videos where they mess up songs. i think it's at the bottom of my list of playlists, i made it start with "Y" so it would come after everything else... ;)
