it is actually: There is an honesty behind a glance, a meaning behind a touch, and faith cried with a tear. Lies behind a promise, importance in a whim, and deceit sealed with a kiss. There is hope behind a gesture, value in a token. An unspoken love delivered with a smile
the narrator says:There is an honesty behind a glance, a meaning behind a touch, and faith cried with a tear. Lies behind a price, importance in a whim, and deceit sealed with a kiss. There is hope behind a gesture, value in a token. An unspoken love delivered with a smile:)
are you absolutely sure? :) But it feels like it's a missing dance scene in Persuasion here on youtube. Do you know if Finlay Robertson (who plays Mr Bennick in Persuasion) is in Northanger Abbey?
I just watched northanger abbey and the script literally sucks. Great actors, costumes, locations. But a great script was needed. The beginning felt too fast like you're thrown into the plot. I saw little character development. Lack of relationship development b/w the couple due to the script. The script was so limited. The movie was too short. No problem w/ risque interpretation as long as one stays true to the story. What a disappointment.
I agree with you!! I hated all those fake orgasms Catherine had during her 'imaginations' Dont' believe me? Like the scene when she imagines she stands up in the bathtub naked infront of Mr. Tilney. And when she imagines that Mr. Tilney and this other dude are fighting for her, and she leans against a tree, and her expression completly screams "ORGASM!!!" Also, they focused so much on the "love story" rather than on the parody (which was supposed to be a 50/50 between it and the love)
I've seen these scenes in various trailers and at the beginnig I was unsure whether it belongs to a jane austen adaption or not. I think it does not fit at all
I though it was pretty good! I have read the book and there isn't much differences, even in the book the love development of tilney and catherine is not as we normally read in her other books and I actually like the dialog when he propose, which in the book doesn't exist and makes the ending some how not so romantic
I really liked Northanger Abbey! It may have strayed in pacing and tone a bit from the book but overall it was really great. Better than Persuasion at any rate.
I saw Persuasion and thought it was wonderful as is Northanger Abbey. These Jane Austen productions can be seen in the US on public televsion starting in January 2008. Go to the PBS website for more info.
Could someone tell me, what does the voice of the man is saying during the trailler,I am Spanish, and I do not understand it, but I don´t need a Spanih translation, I just want to know What is he saying in English. It sounds so beautiful .Thank you ;) Austen 4ever
Here is what the man says (more or less) "There is an honesty behind a glance. A meaning behind a touch. And faith, cried with a tear. There are lies behind a Christ. Importance in a wit, and deceit sealed with a kiss. There is hope behind a gesture. Value in a token. And unspoken love, delivered with a smile. The Jane Austen season coming soon on ITV 1."
Iam a Spanish girl and Iam absolutely in love with Jane Austen´s novels, She makes me dream so much, I love her ,I use to buy those great adptations by internet, they amazing too ;)
The British are very traditional. In Germany, for example there is not much by Goethe or Schiller these days. Saw these Jane Austen films. Annette Strauch
I've only read three of her books. I think I'll read Mansfield Park next.

I think I might be too obsessed with The Tudors, but I could swear James Frain was narrating that!

where can you download the persuasion soundtrack???

I love this song and the trailer~
Though I was a little confused with what the narrator was saying sometimes; the music would over-power his voice.
