Because at the time the games were made the gba was already out of the picture in america. Nintendo was focusing on the ds. It's kinda sad really.

Well it is actually like a twisted version of Pong, not 100% Pong clone. As Super Mario Bros. is to Pong; as Sonic the Hedgehog is to Boundish.
