  • In my country it's Miss Universe who takes part in such shows. But I like the choice of BBC much more

  • David: Some where close by, or somewhere far away?

Me: How about here, so you can pick me up in your TARDIS and we can go together?

  • Is it bad to say that I'm 16 and I really liked that ^^

  • This is the most adorable thing in the world.

  • he should come to here, Australia!

  • he could go to cardiff :D

  • in germany we never had such hot men telling bed time storys on tv :'(

  • The Three Little Sontarans, The Emperor Dalek's New Clothes, Snow White and the Seven Keys to Doomsday.

    Love those stories.

  • Is it bad I found this really interesting and kinda exciting? I think it was the David Tennant effect.

  • I swear I loaded this for my daughter. I have no idea why she's up and playing and I'm loading another.

  • When he said "Night, night" I reflexively said it back.

  • When he said "Night, night" I reflexively said it back.

  • Can I just marry him already? I'm 20, that's old enough right?

  • I wouldn't mind falling asleep with a teddy bear and listening to him read me a bedtime story every night ^.^ and im in high school. Lol. Night-night David :)

  • "The city was intoxicating" And so are you.

  • David: Somewhere close by or somewhere far away?

Me: THROUGH ALL OF TIME AND SPACE

  • funny how most of the viewers arent actualy under 14 year old :')

  • "Maybe I could go to the Countryside tomorrow. Or maybe I'd enjoy the city." Or maybe you could come to visit me and read me a bedtime story, or even a text book just so I can continue to hear that voice <3

  • nighty night David

  • did anyone else notice he's wearing the exact same sweater every bed time story but it's a different color

  • haha I'm actually getting sleepy while hearing this :P

  • night night David

  • I wouldn't mind having David Tennant read me bedtime story's, no matter how old i am

  • No wonder why British people are so smart. They use words like "intoxicating" in the children's bedtime stories. XD I love David Tennant. I wish I had this sort of thing for myself when I was a child. :(

  • ... This made me think of Country Mouse and City Mouse

  • OMG I love the way he said na-night it reminds me of the way my mum used to say it to me before I went to sleep. :)

  • 0:31

    "where would you go?"

well... obviously in your pants! now let me in you sexy madafaaakka.

  • I love how he says night night he's like nigh nigh

  • There's a 4.0 too? If this goes on, I'll never get to bed xD.

  • Ni-night, David... <3

  • That "magnificent" reminds me of the Doctor talking about different species and how they are all unique

  • Anyone know why he read it twice?

  • @kkkkristen100 'cause it's a *really* short story, probably.

  • @threenorns3 I guess so - the same thing happened when Freema Agyeman read "Guess how much I love you." Oh well, not that I mind. =D

  • I love his voice. And the accent is amazing.

  • Na'night, David.......

  • Okay he's a god.

  • that is such a lovely sweater on him. :]

  • I love it when he says "magnificent" <3

  • I may or may not have melted into a puddle of goo at David Tennant reading a bedtime story. Siiiigh.

  • He had a indecisive Doctor Who moment!!!

  • sod barbie and princesses - MY little princess has The Doctor reading her bedtime stories! (*that's* gonna have an effect on her development, no doubt!)

  • @threenorns3 A good effect, no doubt. =D

  • @kkkkristen100 i'm starting to wonder. our bedtime routine is up to : first, "curse of a fatal death"; then "dr who and lauren cooper clash in class"; then the david tenant bedtime story playlist (i put it under the bed so she can hear but not watch) and she's usually asleep by the end of story 3. she's 4-1/2 - think i should worry? lol

  • @threenorns3 That is awesome!! Unless she disappears for a time in mysterious blue boxes, though, I think she'll be fine.

  • Small mouse, big city?

how about: Large book, Skinny David :P <3

  • Nanight honey

  • If only he could have done this like 12 years ago!

  • "I love traveling"

    Through TIME.

  • Any1 else notice that in the Video it is still light out...... yeah sure Nanight David..

  • Nanight.

  • nanight david :)

  • NO I WILL NOT GO TO BED DAVID TENNANT! YOU ARE NOT MY FATHER! :)

  • I don't know why he read it twice, but i don't care, more epic accent for me

  • why wasn't this around when i was little! it could have started my fangirlness waaaaaaay early

  • Maybe in the past

  • Why in the world do the majority of David Tennant's character voices sound like wacky old men? XD

  • @banana2cake2 that would be the real Doctor's voice if he was looking his age, no? lol

  • @melodysymphonystar This is true. He's just acting his age. :D

  • i love him

    so much it hurts.

  • I wish I knew DT as a kid growing up - then he could read me to sleep.

  • I HAVE THIS BOOK!:D Love david <3

  • first the stars, then the sky and the moon and now travelling far far away... sound familiar?

  • Everyone says his voice is relaxing...

    It get's me excited!!!

    lol

  • @hhairball9 Same here! His voice has a very soothing, magical tone, but hearing it just makes me squuueeee and fangirl.

  • Why he read it twice? : D

  • @weasleynmunatoti It was a joke that he forgot what was happening so he re-read it. It was a joke. :)

  • @XxXfiredancerXxX Okhay, thanks :) I know english so badly, that's why I didin't get it :(

  • He has a beautiful voice, and a matching accent to boot. :)

  • haha when he said, "I love traveling" it made me think of DW.

  • 17 at 950 am.... i love his voice. its so relaxing i wish i had these on mp3s they relieve stress like nothing else there is nothing like the gentle scottish brogue of david tennant to help you relax

  • Its so peaceful.........

    *snooze*

  • I want to close my eyes and fall asleep to his voice, but then I'd miss out on all the eyebrow action.

  • this is so relaxing

  • Cheesy enough that it's sweet

  • He has such a nice story telling voice!

  • David saves us the trouble of hitting the replay button by reading us the story twice XD

  • He makes me think of a better version of Steve from Blue's Clues.

  • Of course he loves traveling.

  • I wish I had these on my iPod so I can listen to them before I go to bed. I'm 18.

  • I feel ashamed. I totally whispered "night-night" after he said it, and then I realised I wasn't a little kid anymore, and people can't hear you through a computerscreen... Sigh... BARROWMAN! *shakes fist*

  • Heehee. So adorable. It's so strange seeing him in a kids' show, the doctor who, and then I watched him in off the map. He has a wide variety of acting he's got going.

  • He is a twig. So flipping skinny!

  • 'Im trying to think of where to go today'...hmm...tardis refrence? ;)

  • Im 16 and i love these! never too old to be read to

  • his 2nd story was about the sky (giggle) and this one is about travling..tardis anyone?

  • I'm so in love with his eyes. I could stare at them all day.

  • I'm even more desperately, hopelessly in love with Tennant than I was before.

  • well im 28, watching and loving it :P

  • he looks so tiny!

  • lol. I remember hearing this exact same story when I was a kid. It's way better when David Tennant reads it than when my mom reads it.

  • I keep thinking he's going to blurt out something fucked up.

  • @heroesandcons09 I keep HOPING

  • he can read me a story 2

  • He can read me a story anytime :P

  • who is american and likes Dr. Who? Its kind of weird when they do.

  • @TheHardShells I'm American and I LOVE Doctor Who. I've been a fan for ages. It's extremely difficult to get others to watch, but when they do they fall in love.

  • @TheHardShells I'm an American and I LOVE DR. Who. I'm a new-ish fan and am only on s4 but Its FANTASTIC. I just found these a few days ago and I now have to watch one before bed ... after Dr.Who of course.

  • David can read me a bed time story in my bed anytime! :)

  • whoa! i had no idea he had such a soothing voice. =D

  • OMG I LOVE IT!! hahaha y would they only do this for little kids!! haha im 16 and i appreciate it :O hahahahaa now to show all my friends :D hahaha but y does it play the story twice?? ahh well.. more david time :D xx.

  • Discovered these today and have watched most of them. I'm a huge fan now. I'm 16. I'm suck a dork. :P

  • i think of blues clues when i watch that...i think he would make a great host! :D

  • I just discovered these bedtime stories today. I'm 17 and I love them, especially those by David. Reminds me of my childhood and kindergarten. Love them!! And do they still air these on BBC??

  • God all mighty, could David Tennant get ANY cuter!?

  • His kids will enjoy his stories. :D

  • Just imagine how lucky David's kids will be to have him, with his wonderful voice, reading them stories. He'll be a fantastic daddy. These are so wonderfully done. I love 'em, and thanks to "theproselytizer" for posting 'em. David's the best.

  • He will make such an amazing father to my children <3

  • David's voice is intoxicating. I could listen to him for hours :)

  • Every time I watch one of David's stories and he says: "Oh hello, I'm David." This voice in my head goes: 'Yes, yes you are!!' (I bet that sounded weird). Seriously though, I could listen to David all day and not get bored.

  • Of course you love to travel, Doctor. c:

  • "Nigh' night" :D :D :D

  • glad to know i'm not the only 19 yr old watching these after working all night on schoolwork, in bed ready to go to sleep :) and his voice is so calm. good night!

  • @Pili5000 lol. i'm 21 and i've been writing a rubbish paper for a nasty class that I hate more than daleks and now i'm watching these before bed :)

  • I just love the way he says "The city took his breath away."

  • i love how he just throws that big map haha

  • @raechaosface I'm 16 and I'm doing the same. : )

  • @raechaosface thats not sad. Thats dedication!

  • @raechaosface OMD ME TOO !!! :DD and they actually help put me to sleep if I relax while watching them XDD

  • @raechaosface i'm doing that and i'm in my mid-20's. :)

  • @raechaosface I'm 23 but I have a good excuse... I have a 2 year old that LOVES him as much as mommy does.

  • @raechaosface I've been doing the same thing, and I'm in my twenties. NO SHAME.

  • @raechaosface i'm 32 ;)

  • @raechaosface I'm 24...... lol XD

  • This is teh cutest show. i love that these actors read the stories. We used to have nice things like this in America when i was little, but not anymore (tear). David Tennant has a great voice.

  • this story is kinda like when Martha & the Doctor go to New(*18) York. Bye bye David!!!!! :(

  • Haha this is awesome. I love how he just throws the map down at the start

  • i love it when he said beautiful it sounded well beautiful

  • omg he is almost like mister rogers i love it

  • I think he told it twice because it's a cute story. :)

  • why'd they repeat it? :S

  • Haha I'm pretty sure they just did one recording and then repeated it :]

At first I thought the story was 'Town Mouse and Country Mouse' one of my fave children's stories. It's pretty much the same story 'cept I think the one I read as a child is better. I can just remember the food looking yummy and that it also had Town mouse coming to the Country afterward. Would have been amazing if he'd been reading something so nostalgic to me but anything he reads is gonna be great.

  • I'm 19 and i'm listening to a bedtime story at 7 of the afternoon, just for David. I'm always looking forward to every audiobook read by him.

  • @Rominiwi I'm the same cept it's midnight and im 14 :E :D x

  • @Rominiwi he reads parts of 'The Merlin Conspiracy' in his english accent, I love it so much :)

  • @whoopsydaisy707 really, where i can get it?

I'm from the other side of the world so it's kinda difficult to get stuff...

  • @Rominiwi I'm not sure then, I got mine off Amazon? the book is by Diana Wynne Jones

  • aww... lovely story but... i felt asleep...again!!

  • beautiful man.

  • you're the best, yet again. This is why when I find out he's narrated a book, I buy it. He's such a good story teller.

  • @rgrippen he has, he narrated "Quite Ugly One Morning" by Christopher Brookmyre, I have it, and it's wonderful

  • I wish I could get a hold of that title without having to seemingly jump through hoops to get it. I've heard samples of it, and it sounds fantastic.

  • Funny how he reads sweet stories to tiny children on cbbc and will shortly will be acting out Hamlet on BBC 2, a play full of madness, murder and revenge.

  • @STEPHENWRAYSFORD33 Thats just his talent showing, ;D

  • Why am i listening to a bedtime story? And in a loop, at that! I had no idea Tennant did this xD Cool :?

  • I'm enjoying this immensely!! ; In my career as an educator (and of course as a mum to my own), this is exactly how you develop young readers, by reading to them engaging material in an enthusiastic way. Particularly at a relaxing time, such as bedtime. Don't we all love a good story?

    Thanks for sharing!

  • I'm 42 and I'm also listening to a bedtime story and also because of David.

Now I going to bed so nightnight

    tomorrow another story

    thanx for uploading

  • love the west country accent! *there;s no place like home* !! :)

  • I can't believe I'm listening to a bedtime story...it's all becoz of David Tennant!!!

    Thx a lot!

  • One more time thank you very much =D

  • Thank you so much!!!!

PS: you are very quickly ;)
