imagine being there, it gave me chills in the desert!! basically one serious leader/guy from a tuareg tribe arrived from the desert, and he was greeted by the other serious leader looking type guy and they did this dance in the circle... the guy who arrived made his camel dance!
Well....Africa is much larger than Swahili speaking corner. If you could have imagined like that you could have easily understood the falacy of ur calculation. ur insult tells me u are indeed ignorant
@abqula im well aware that africa doesn't only consist of swahili speakers, but it is the largest african language spoken. Its spoken in nearly 10 different countries, Which is why i refered to it has also the most profitable music. As opposed to mali music which is exclusivley in mali, and taureg people only inhabit in five countries, So if you want to reply to a comment abqula, i suggest you stick to what the comment was about. Ok Rasclot.
@darnell201 Hamatic-Semetic, Saharan, Niger congo and Niger congo bantu are the largest groups of language in Africa. swahili only makes up a small part. Swahili is just a part of Niger congo bantu. Do not think it could be the largest. Maybe the most popularly known out side of Africa.
With the Tuareg, I love how it's the men who are expected to cover their faces. So totally opposite the A-rabs. The sensual elements are totally in-yo-face.
The west is always obssesseb about who is the man and who is the woman. Well, in the Sahara the man is clear, he is the one with the blue gandoura, and he is the one who is holding the sword sometimes. Well, the woman , she alawys looks like a woman, I don't see why people are trying to pretend they are confused?
hi - this is two men, the man in white robes has just arrived on his camel (he made the camel dance and then sit) the dance then started, and i think it is basically one taureg group greeting another..cheers
Music and Dancing are pregnancy of significances and symboles.because I understand this music.because i belong to the same land and weather.i am from western sahara.
Amazing!

All that Islamic garbage has always weighed very lightly on the Turareg. You can practically smell the primordial elements.

i have a question... was that a man and a woman or to men? what does the dance itself mean, whats the significance?

hi - this is two men, the man in white robes has just arrived on his camel (he made the camel dance and then sit) the dance then started, and i think it is basically one taureg group greeting another..cheers

That was two men and the dance is about the two opposite side or in another word the good and the bad or the positive and negative eternal struggle.
Peace.
