  • motherfucker ram.one word about this man.

  • India signed nuclear deal with USA also signed nuclear deal with Russia

    Nice!!

  • N Ram and his ilk from the Left are summarized by the majority of Indians as BULL SHIT. I feel N Ram is more concerned with Iranian and Middle eastern interests than Indian. N Ram and the Indian Left never spoke a word about Chinese tactics of bullying or Soudi's monetary support to Jehadis.

Fortunately Indian Communists are in no position after 2009 general elections to dictate the policies for next five years and Indians can adapt pragmatic approach towards Chinese.

  • It would be preferable if India was a signatory to the NPT but I think it is reassuring to see growing bonds between the worlds most prosperous and most populus democracies. especially as India is geographically wedged between trouble nations such as Burma, Pakistan & of course the Chinese. In an age were the US and China are bound to come to blows I believe India will be a neccasary and valuable ally.

  • @lttlebighrn If we sign the NPT, we sign our own death warrant, with a country like pakistan in our neighborhood, we need to keep our options open. Besides its not like we WANT nukes infact India was the first and only country to suggest complete and total nuke disarmament by all nations but US opposed to this. I'm not blaming the americans, I'm sure you had your own reasons but then so do we for not signing the NPT. Plus we've got a no-first use policy, which is pretty stupid since Pak doesn't.

  • The nuclear deal will help ordinary Indians. However India's non aligned security policy will be under jeoprady. This positions India as a US lackey in the region for many years. Non alignmentship meant flexibility, now, India is under a new colonial yoke. Well done!

  • carrot to china and stick to india, that is the policy of prakash karat and co. commies are the biggest enemies of india. commies in india should learn a lesson from the nationalist commies of china. chinese commies conquer tibet and continue to justify it. shame on indian commies who back stab their own country on china's instructions.

  • ... having said that, the west got to take note that india's democracy is working !! I don't think any other country would think twice, if the US offers such a deal. India does and thats the unique part of India !! The US knows that india is a democracy and there will opposition for the deal !! Imagine, if it was pakistan, fuck they are going to grab the deal with both hands !

  • hello, the deal is not dead !! congress party will go for it, but in the end of their tenure !! Obama supports the deal !! Good for india !!

  • Fools!

  • communists in india are always pro-china rather than pro-india.They are unpatriotic..they think that anything that comes from US must be evil

  • The left parties in India are obstructionist and not progressive. The 'left' in India is not similar to the 'left' in US.

  • The 'left' in the US is what most of the planet would call centre-right, at best!

  • You accurately described the Democratic party which is 'pseudo-left'. Still going back to my original point, the left parties in India don't enjoy much support in India. The left parties in India support the authoritarian regime in China and also destroy national infrastructure, burn buses at every whimsical protest. They are obstructionist and support certain domestic terrorist groups (Maoist naxalites etc..)

  • Actually, I'd call the Democratic Party right wing. Gore Vidal said it best: America has one political party with two right wings!

  • Nuclear deal between india and US if done right could have facilitated a longterm friendship between the worlds largest power and the worlds largest democracy. However there are two issues here

  • 1)the content of the deal was not meant to be taken literally, it was written in such a way that it is open for interpretation by both parties. 2) the deal was not put in at the right time atleast in the indian context to the world affairs. Left parties in India are sensitive to the fact that by associating with US India will get a freeload of karma that it wasnt responsible for.

  • But India never signed NPT and they suffered ban so they developed their own nuke from their own tech. So selling civilian tech and fuel is your decision but having nuke or not is their decision after all. While see china selling weapon tech to pakistan and north korea and is it not violation of NPT? Why not they get a ban?

  • Well a nuclear country cannot tell another country not to have nuke. As long as I know the NPT says since you having nuclear tech from other nations you cannot make bombs and nuclear tech countries cannot sell weapon tech to other countries.

  • The deal that Bush signed with India in December 2006 is a direct US violation not only of the NPT, but also our own Atomic Energy Act, because India is not a signatory to the NPT. To make matters worse, the deal allows for inspections of India's civilian nuke facilities, but keeps their military facilities off limits. Please share this video widely and keep your eyes on India. Great work Real News!

  • Choices for India are to be friend with US or get dominated by china. I think be friend with US is a good decision india has made. If the chineese government was not soo greedy for Indian land they could go against US being friend with india and iran etc. But the chineese soo greedy that they help pakistan to make india weak and then hit hard. To counter that you need help of US. Atleast they won't invade an ally. Everyone is bad you know. You have to choose between big badn and less bad.

  • The US wont invade an ally? think again, saddam was our ally 20 years ago and that worked out well. this is preparation for war with china/russia

  • You are right they do but only when the ally is weak and they have major interest like oil. They might be little threat to india but china is much bigger threat. Everyday they claim a new part of india as belongs to china and they push the boundary inch by inch. They also doing rapid infrastructure development near indian boundary though hardly anyone lives there and that seems to indian like a preparation of a massive land invasion.

  • Why, specifically, do you think the American government wants to go to war with China and Russia?

  • i dont think any of these 3 govs. "want" to go to war with each other. but if we continue occupying and building bases in middle eastern/asian countries that surround russia and china (two countries with huge oil reserves) confrontation is bound to happen. we are already involved in proxy wars with them the press just spins it or omits it.

  • I know an indian that runs a gas station. I heard pink floyd "us and them" playin and I had to ask him if he liked it. He laughed and said "all music is good. Everything is good everything bad. we make."

  • oooh, please Pakistan....please, please launch a nuclear strike against India so we Americans can get our jobs back??! Pretty please???

  • I think you need to plead India to launch a nuclear strike against China to get your jobs back. Two birds, one stone ... you know!

  • bharfarar- americans will not only get their jobs back, if pakistan nukes india, america will also be terrorists free, because there will be no pakistan left !!

  • Don't fall for it India!

  • The uranium for this deal has fallen through thanks to a change of government in Australia.

  • Australia is pretty much bitch of US. If they choose not to they have to rely on china. They really cannot afford to have their own decision. Specially with soo much violations of human rishts in refugee camps they cannot afford to go against US. I wish they could.
