I also agree with awake 12100. Although any publicity is good publicity, shows such as this really playdown the seriousness of the issue. There's constant itching and burning but there are many other symptoms too. It is certainly life changing. I am or rather was a tv director and journalist. If I have a good day I rejoice but a lot of the time I am either in bed or in the shower hoping to get some relief. I only have to go out in the car for an hour and the itching returns.

Being in the medical field and having a loved one that fits current criteria, I can tell you that treatment protocols can be derived based on disease processes affecting body systems without a definite cause to contribute them to. Focusing on inhibited bodily functions with targeted testing is a start, leads to relief of symptoms and better quality of life for the patient.

I met an Australian with morgellons fibers all around the base of his spine-doctors cut-out all this infected tissue, the cost to my friend was $1000 AUD ($750 USD), and the total cost was $3000 AUD ($2000 USD). That same surgery would've cost $30,000-45,000 in the USA. People w/morgellons in USA can't afford treatment, they're highly infectious, and w/o treatment, they can spread the disease to RICH & poor alike!!! Their bodies are weaponized, you could say.

Morgellons is listed on the NIH site as being associated with Lyme Disease which can be very serious when left untreated in some people.
Both Morgellons and Lyme/Borrelia have been misunderstood by the medical professionals.
