Basically the multi-verse theory states that there are infinitely many parallel universes, with unlimited variations. If there are infinitely many universes, that means there is a universe where God of the bible has to exists, and if the God of the bible is all powerful then that means he could easily create a heaven and extract all souls from the other universes as they die. Doctors already assist people dying, but they have to do it in such a way so that it doesn't *look* like it's assisted suicide. It's argued that the law should catch up with current practice, but people will always push the boundaries of the law, and to keep the law conservative helps protect people from coerced suicide.

Yes, I think assisted suicide should be legal, at least for medical conditions. Like final stage cancer or final stage AIDS. Others need therapy, or medication. My mother just died from cancer Monday, and if she had asked help ending it, I would have found a way rather than letting her live in such pain. I am not looking for sympathy for myself, just that it is something that is hard to struggle with. I want people to understand that. Depression isn't something you can easily just get over. You have to be even a bit mentally happy in order to seek out help. I have been personally struggling with it since I was 14, I am now 22. It drains the life out of me and sometimes I don't know how I don't just shoot myself. It is hard, and I am on 2 different anti depressants, after trying 2 others, and am on my 5th psychologist. I think I am finally getting somewhere, I am at least happy 1% of every day.

Assisted suicide is for people who suffer from excruciating pain but are physically unable to kill themselves, and hence they need someone else to help them do so.

If the court can't prove who technically administered the drugs (such as lack of fingerprints or concrete evidence) then the best the court can do is charge the defendant with giving drugs that would cause an overdose, a.k.a. drugs that were concentrated and would lead to a reaction and possible death if taken...so not technically homicide, but close enough for a short (6 months-1 or 2 years) prison sentence.
I don`t know how long that suicide tourism pitch will work, i think if it`s your life you should be able to choose how and why an whatever you want, not everyone is christian so not just the bible has the right to make your choice for you. but i don`t agree with the suicide tourism thing, that will cause a lot of psychos, depressed people and people who are just sitting there in pain dying. ask a cancer patient about suffering, about how they wish they weren`t alive...ask them about pain.

@notwhatitseems Yeah but going off life support isnt assisted suicide. Assisted suicide would be the case if the person could still survive off life support but didnt want to anymore so they take a drug or whatever to kill themselves. I think people are going a little to far with "playing God" obviously to a certain extent yes do whatever you can to keep someone alive but only if they will able to live a fufilled life and only use life support as a temporary means

Yes, I think assisted suicide should be legal, at least for medical conditions. Like final stage cancer or final stage AIDS. Others need therapy, or medication. My mother just died from cancer Monday, and if she had asked help ending it, I would have found a way rather than letting her live in such pain. Truthfully, she had mentioned it at the start, but tried to maintain for her family and friends. Great of her, selfish of us.

Whether or not there's a heaven is irrelevent cause we should do all we can with our alotted time anyway. People can believe in heaven if it brings them a measure of comfort, who cares; just don't go and discriminate/blow shit up because others don't share your belief. It's the summer, what a better time than now? Hope this helps :) and don't think that you're depressed. Don't even conciously say that your like thins because you're depressed or even let it control your life dood! If you just try and say I don't need this med! I'm me and that's all I need. Get things you enjoy and socialize alot too.

I am not looking for sympathy for myself, just that it is something that is hard to struggle with. I want people to understand that. There is a very large stigma on depression, that you are just being sad to grab attention. Why would people want to feel like they are worthless, everyday of their life, to get attention? I understand there are people out there that abuse the disease, but we are not all like that. I guess unless Phil had depression, he would never understand/care.

Depression isn't something you can easily just get over. You have to be even a bit mentally happy in order to seek out help. I have been personally struggling with it since I was 14, I am now 22. It drains the life out of me and sometimes I don't know how I don't just shoot myself. It is hard, and I am on 2 different anti depressants, after trying 2 others, and am on my 5th psychologist. I think I am finally getting somewhere, I am at least happy 1% of every day.

Oh My Goodness some people don't even listen to the video. Phill said that he didn't agree with assisted suicide for just depressed people or someone who randomly wants to die. Assisted suicide is for people who suffer from excruciating pain but are physically unable to kill themselves, and hence they need someone else to help them do so.

If the court can't prove who technically administered the drugs (such as lack of fingerprints or concrete evidence) then the best the court can do is charge the defendant with giving drugs that would cause an overdose, a.k.a. drugs that were concentrated and would lead to a reaction and possible death if taken...so not technically homicide, but close enough for a short (6 months-1 or 2 years) prison sentence.

I for sure think assisted suicide should be legal. Whatever someone wants to do with their own body should be completely up to them. I REALLY believe that, and apply it to even drug use. Drug laws do very little to stop the actual drug usage, and one should not be arrested or harmed for doing something to their own body.

There's a person - of sound mind, and capable of making their own decisions - who does not want to continue living; whether that be because of being in intense physical pain, or mental agony; or anything else.
