hello everyone. Im a 23 year old male. I had severe phimosis almost to the point of it completely closing. Urination was extremely uncomfortable. For some people circumcision can really help like it did with me. Im am still recovering and I FEEL ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN!!. Just make the decision for yourself (DONT LET THE HORROR STORIES ONLINE SCARE YOU). See a reputable urologist and ask questions! Stretching did not help me. Not saying it wont help you.
@highVILLEocity this reminds me of how some people get teeth amputated because of infections. Hopefully people learn or are in position/environment, in which they can properly take care of the health of their other organs, so they don't have to have this useful organs amputated.

phimosis is normal in all kids who haven't yet put all the hours of work in on their penis that teenagers do. it's only an issue if you're coming out of your teens and it's still far too tight.

Phimosis is natural protection of the penis in the first 3 year of every boy. Foreskin is tight and sticked to glans. If adults try to remove this atural protection from urine and bacterias the foreskin will be much tighter. Only person who can retract this part of body is boy himself. Lot of boys get retracted their foreskin in puberty or later. Using betamethasone creams circumcision is not necessary at all.
I'm 16 and I think I have Phimosis. I've never tried pulling my foreskin all the way down till my head is uncovered whether in flaccid or erect state. But when I masturbate, I can see a large part of the head but the skin still covers it and i'm afraid of pulling it down because it's tight and i'm scared of the pain. @rainbowcicak First of all know that you are not the only 16 year old with a tight foreskin. There are two possible issues here: (1) tight foreskin, (2) foreskin still partially attached to the glans (head). If (2) is the case then that should resolve naturally over time. However, some gentle stretching during cleaning and masturbation may be helpful. You can search the internet for more information on curing a tight foreskin or you can find a foreskin friendly doctor in your area.

@CoNoRcOnDoM There are non-surgical options. Just do a search on the net. For example, the glansie, homecure, the gentle foreskin stretcher, and such sites as cureyourtightforeskin. If you go to a foreskin-friendly doctor they can examine you and potentially prescribe you a steroid cream to help loosen the skin. If you do see a doctor make sure that you tell them you do not want to be circumcised and want to try other treatments. If they recommend circumcision then get another opinion.

if you can pull back to the half then you do have phimosis, but not like you HAVE to use Circumcision. i would advice the warm water treatment (could be 2-3 months), or if that doesnt hurt talk with your parents and a professional.
@ribarmilos well in basis, just take a hot bath, (heard its best in bath tub if i may add, but did it in shower myself) then just stretch the end of your skin, use some liquid soab to lubricate if ya want, just stretch.
if your not confident that it does anything, go to your doctor (or otherwise medical person) and they will give you a creme and instructions..
i might add that i recommend the creme instead of hot water, sins it almost always works... i just didnt have the balls to go there,

There´s a ring of hardened skin around the tip of my foreskin. It prevents stretching. It's so damn strong that when I pull it down over my glands, it squeezes my glands together. It's like a rubber band!
You must keep stretching it. Mine was very very tight just as you described, I started stretching it 2 months ago and I'm 80% cured of phimosis now. However I haven't used any creams at all, though it's recommended you do obviously.
Stretching can be painful and you have to be consistent with it nearly each day, 15 minute sessions, while you masturbate even. But don't try to force it to the point where it's very painful - a little pain is alright, but not an excessive amount.

I think I had this. My foreskin was too tight and I talked to a doctor about it and he said it was too tight and that I must stretch the foreskin. So I did. Very very painful. Phimosis is caused by certain masturbation techniques.
If you use a rubbing technique, such as rubbing the head through clothes, you may scar the penis skin. Scarred skin is less elastic and not as pliable meaning it is less easy to pull back. You also damage the inside chambers of the penis through high pressure meaning they do not expand the penis from inside out. My advice - give penis time to repair , don't masturbate too often and don't use rubbing techniques, just lightly grip shaft.

the inability to retract to foreskin when the penis is erect or flaccid is both considered phimosis. Its more severe if you can't retract when flaccid as well.
The problem lies within the opening at the tip of the forskin (the ring or prepuce), it is to small, the rest of the foreskin is usually flexible enough. You must work on stretching the opening very slowly and gently. It may take all long time or even as little as 1 month but its the best option.

i do feel sorry for you. weren't you watching the video. what you described is what normally happens, or sometimes the foreskin just stays down. but with phimosis the foreskin is tight and can not retrack back over the glands. which means no sensation.
physiologically there is no reason why it should mean any great loss of sensation.
in fact, a great many cases have been recorded where men lose sensation after surgical treatment for phimosis, due to losing a whole load of nerve endings.
Circumsized men technically feel less sensation, due to less nerve endings being available and desensitisation of the glans. (Oh, and it's "glans", not "glands")
Phimosis is only an issue if it causes pain, preventing normal sexual intercourse. This is not the case in a great many patients. If, however, it is the case it makes sense to try non-surgical methods first. Gentle stretching with topical steroid cream being probably the most widely accepted method.

every boy and man should be able to retract his foreskin so the entire glans (head of the penis) is exposed. If this is not possible there is probably some degree of phimosis. A small surgical procedure will solve the problem. This will greatly increase the personal hygiene and reduce chances of infection. The doctor who performs this will depend on your medical system... over here, surgeons normally perform this procedure. It is worth it as getting your penis infected is no fun at all.

Since researching, I have tried to pull it back, until the point where it starts too hurt, and it's improved vastly, but I still cant pull it back past the head. I cant clean it thouroughly but I do take half a glass of soapy luke warm water each day and tip that over my penis when I pull my foreskin back as far as I can. Will it hurt during intercourse? I'm 15 and have the same problem. The foreskin only gets past the head a little bit, but is prevented by a hard band of skin around the top. I've discovered that I have a penile disease, Balanitis xerotica obliterans.
This has resulted in Phimosis, with the inability to fully retract the foreskin.
But from what I've read up, there are many treatments, from a small surgery to loosen the foreskin, creams and ointments, laser treatment, or in the worst case scenario, circumcision (which isn't the end of the world).
Are u attempting to retract your foreskin on an erect penis. If so, try when it is relaxed. Gently retract and make the skin go back slowly. If indeed thats what uve been trying and yer still unable to retract it completely, then I suggest you go see a doctor. Mind you, pulling it back will hurt a bit, but gently persist to pull it back when in a relaxed position. Give it a 30 secs time to gradually slide back. Also, vimp : If it does slide back, you do not want stuck back, pull it over quickly.
Your "cleaning" regimin sounds pretty suspect and time consuming. You're making a bigger deal of this than it is, just put the shower head on the jet setting and fire it in and around for few seconds, only do this when you have a shower. How often you shower is up to you, but when you do shower do this as part of your showering routine. But you don't need to clean your dick everyday.

Hello. I need to know one thing. I can pull back (not easily when erected but i can). When erected the skin below cannot be as stretched as the skin on top. This causes some pain. What could that be. Is that it phimosis or maybe paraphimosis, and could you think that could be treated by streching it?
Being intact is something to thank your parents for, not blame them. They *didn't* mutilate you, unlike many in the USA, Muslim or Jewish countries, and (to a lesser extent) Canada. Circumcision is unethical and just a really bad idea. It's nothing short of child abuse.
Stretching PLUS the use of a steroid cream (Betamethasone) yields the best results. I dont have medical insurance or money for an expensive device to help stretch my foreskin so I found the next best thing: Preparation H Hydrocortisone 1% and Q-tips.
Hydrocortisone 1% is a steroid cream (like Betamethasone but not as strong) and aids in the stretching of foreskin. I've been applying the Preparation H multiple times a day and using Q Tips to help stretch the opening and am seeing great results.
Do some searches on google like "tight foreskin" and check out sites that cover stretching how-to's.
Don't rush the stretching process. Take your time, and it will eventually become bigger in time, where you will be able to pull it behind when flaccid (that is, you cannot do it flaccid, either).
Hey i need too ask you something. I am 14 and i can barely pull by head back and when i looked really closely it looked like the frenulum couldn't stretch too let the skin go down. Does this like stretch when you get older?? please help i am really worried.
I had the same problem, at first i looked into getting the frenulum removed but in the end the band at the front was tight so i went for the full circumcision. I dont think the frenulum will stretch, im my case it tore slightly (mega ouch). Best thing you can do is go ask your docktor/GP and he'll tell you what choices you have.
Being circumcised stinks. Exhaust all options before doing it. There are even surgeries designed to "loosen" the frenulum so the foreskin can retract. It may become stretchier through masturbation and the like, but be careful not to hurt yourself, and do all you can to stay whole.
I did manual stretching. DONT be fooled buying "Awesome" products. and don't let your doctor convince you on circumcision!
With my experience with Phimosis, I NEVER had ANY problems at all. Sure, I had a tight foreskin, and Sex was tolerable because I was wearing protection. I could have left this for the rest of my life and still be happy. However, I tried manual stretching and over a period of time it became looser. I did at one period use Betamepasone (sp?) to help.
To be honest with you. I do feel that it would have been pretty uncomfortable if I wasn't wearing protection. This is just my two-cents towards it as I have only have sex with a condom, which (imo) made better for my tight foreskin.
A tight foreskin can vary from person to person, especially on sex... so my views on this will differ from someone else. I certainly wouldn't say "painful" was an issue here, but certain aspects might make a little uncomfortable, and a bit more care is required!
Another aspect in the sex scene is making sure the girl friend knows what they are doing down there, because they have to take more care. Some (perhaps most) won't really think about the foreskin, so they may pull back hard thinking it's no big deal.
My advice, if this is bothering you, look into stretching. It took me some time for the opening to get bigger, and now I can pull it back.
Same here, I didn't even realise anything was wrong with my penis until I saw porn and wondered why the end looked different, I assumed that was a product of circumcision.
Stretching works, it may take a long time, but it keeps your "head" sensitive, which is great for sex. I can only imagine circumcision would at first cause chaff, and ultimately a loss in overall sensitivity.
Although the tip of my penis used to be really sensitive, now it's all out more it's not so uncomfortable.

What I did, is that I just pulled my foreskin back gently every day, until it loosened up by itself. Don't stretch it too far though, because it may make little rips in the foreskin (or so I've read). Take your time, and in a few weeks / months, you'll be able to retract your foreskin more and more.
Hey I found out I had this problem a while ago. It didn't bother me until I had sex without a condom and it hurt, usually i used a condom. I told dad about it, and within a week i had a circumcision, it hurt at first, but with the drugs they give you i is fine. It's been about 9 days since the operation, i can see the stitches starting to fade (dissolveable stitches) there is still a little bit of swelling. It looks alot prettier circumcised, i've had nearly 2 weeeks off school. I'm happier.

Phimosis is natural protection of the penis in the first 3 year of every boy. Foreskin is tight and sticked to glans. If adults try to remove this atural protection from urine and bacterias the foreskin will be much tighter. Only person who can retract this part of body is boy himself. Lot of boys get retracted their foreskin in puberty or later. Using betamethasone creams circumcision is not necessary at all.

I'm 16 and I think I have Phimosis. I've never tried pulling my foreskin all the way down till my head is uncovered whether in flaccid or erect state. There are two possible issues here: (1) tight foreskin, (2) foreskin still partially attached to the glans (head). If (2) is the case then that should resolve naturally over time. However, some gentle stretching during cleaning and masturbation may be helpful. You can search the internet for more information on curing a tight foreskin or you can find a foreskin friendly doctor in your area.

If you go to a foreskin-friendly doctor they can examine you and potentially prescribe you a steroid cream to help loosen the skin. If you do see a doctor make sure that you tell them you do not want to be circumcised and want to try other treatments. If they recommend circumcision then get another opinion.

if you can pull back to the half then you do have phimosis, but not like you HAVE to use Circumcision. i would advice the warm water treatment (could be 2-3 months), or if that doesnt hurt talk with your parents and a professional.

@ribarmilos well in basis, just take a hot bath, (heard its best in bath tub if i may add, but did it in shower myself) then just stretch the end of your skin, use some liquid soab to lubricate if ya want, just stretch.
if your not confident that it does anything, go to your doctor (or otherwise medical person) and they will give you a creme and instructions..
i might add that i recommend the creme instead of hot water, sins it almost always works... i just didnt have the balls to go there,

You must keep stretching it. Mine was very very tight just as you described, I started stretching it 2 months ago and I'm 80% cured of phimosis now. However I haven't used any creams at all, though it's recommended you do obviously.
Stretching can be painful and you have to be consistent with it nearly each day, 15 minute sessions, while you masturbate even. But don't try to force it to the point where it's very painful - a little pain is alright, but not an excessive amount.

I think I had this. My foreskin was too tight and I talked to a doctor about it and he said it was too tight and that I must stretch the foreskin. So I did. Very very painful. No tools, no creams just my fingers, I would insert 2 fingers on each side and pull with all my might, after doing this in the shower about once a day for maybe a month for about 10 mins a session, hard to remember I was going through psychosis at the time.

Phimosis is caused by certain masturbation techniques.
If you use a rubbing technique, such as rubbing the head through clothes, you may scar the penis skin. Scarred skin is less elastic and not as pliable meaning it is less easy to pull back. You also damage the inside chambers of the penis through high pressure meaning they do not expand the penis from inside out. My advice - give penis time to repair , don't masturbate too often and don't use rubbing techniques, just lightly grip shaft.

the inability to retract to foreskin when the penis is erect or flaccid is both considered phimosis. Its more severe if you can't retract when flaccid as well.
The problem lies within the opening at the tip of the forskin (the ring or prepuce), it is to small, the rest of the foreskin is usually flexible enough. You must work on stretching the opening very slowly and gently. It may take all long time or even as little as 1 month but its the best option.

physiologically there is no reason why it should mean any great loss of sensation.
in fact, a great many cases have been recorded where men lose sensation after surgical treatment for phimosis, due to losing a whole load of nerve endings.
Circumsized men technically feel less sensation, due to less nerve endings being available and desensitisation of the glans. (Oh, and it's "glans", not "glands")

Phimosis is only an issue if it causes pain, preventing normal sexual intercourse. This is not the case in a great many patients. If, however, it is the case it makes sense to try non-surgical methods first. Gentle stretching with topical steroid cream being probably the most widely accepted method.

every boy and man should be able to retract his foreskin so the entire glans (head of the penis) is exposed. If this is not possible there is probably some degree of phimosis. A small surgical procedure will solve the problem. This will greatly increase the personal hygiene and reduce chances of infection. The doctor who performs this will depend on your medical system... over here, surgeons normally perform this procedure. It is worth it as getting your penis infected is no fun at all.

Are u attempting to retract your foreskin on an erect penis. If so, try when it is relaxed. Gently retract and make the skin go back slowly. If indeed thats what uve been trying and yer still unable to retract it completely, then I suggest you go see a doctor. Mind you, pulling it back will hurt a bit, but gently persist to pull it back when in a relaxed position. Give it a 30 secs time to gradually slide back. Also, vimp : If it does slide back, you do not want stuck back, pull it over quickly.

Your "cleaning" regimin sounds pretty suspect and time consuming. You're making a bigger deal of this than it is, just put the shower head on the jet setting and fire it in and around for few seconds, only do this when you have a shower. How often you shower is up to you, but when you do shower do this as part of your showering routine. But you don't need to clean your dick everyday.

Being intact is something to thank your parents for, not blame them. They *didn't* mutilate you, unlike many in the USA, Muslim or Jewish countries, and (to a lesser extent) Canada. Circumcision is unethical and just a really bad idea. It's nothing short of child abuse.

Stretching PLUS the use of a steroid cream (Betamethasone) yields the best results. I dont have medical insurance or money for an expensive device to help stretch my foreskin so I found the next best thing: Preparation H Hydrocortisone 1% and Q-tips.
Hydrocortisone 1% is a steroid cream (like Betamethasone but not as strong) and aids in the stretching of foreskin. I've been applying the Preparation H multiple times a day and using Q Tips to help stretch the opening and am seeing great results.

In my opinion, no. It is never to late.
I started stretching past my teen years.
Do some searches on google like "tight foreskin" and check out sites that cover stretching how-to's.
Don't rush the stretching process. Take your time, and it will eventually become bigger in time, where you will be able to pull it behind when flaccid (that is, you cannot do it flaccid, either).

Hey i need too ask you something. I am 14 and i can barely pull by head back and when i looked really closely it looked like the frenulum couldn't stretch too let the skin go down. Does this like stretch when you get older?? please help i am really worried.

I had the same problem, at first i looked into getting the frenulum removed but in the end the band at the front was tight so i went for the full circumcision. I dont think the frenulum will stretch, im my case it tore slightly (mega ouch). Best thing you can do is go ask your docktor/GP and he'll tell you what choices you have.

Being circumcised stinks. Exhaust all options before doing it. There are even surgeries designed to "loosen" the frenulum so the foreskin can retract. It may become stretchier through masturbation and the like, but be careful not to hurt yourself, and do all you can to stay whole.

I did manual stretching. DONT be fooled buying "Awesome" products. and don't let your doctor convince you on circumcision!
With my experience with Phimosis, I NEVER had ANY problems at all. Sure, I had a tight foreskin, and Sex was tolerable because I was wearing protection. I could have left this for the rest of my life and still be happy. However, I tried manual stretching and over a period of time it became looser. I did at one period use Betamepasone (sp?) to help.

To be honest with you. I do feel that it would have been pretty uncomfortable if I wasn't wearing protection. This is just my two-cents towards it as I have only have sex with a condom, which (imo) made better for my tight foreskin.
A tight foreskin can vary from person to person, especially on sex... so my views on this will differ from someone else. I certainly wouldn't say "painful" was an issue here, but certain aspects might make a little uncomfortable, and a bit more care is required!

Another aspect in the sex scene is making sure the girl friend knows what they are doing down there, because they have to take more care. Some (perhaps most) won't really think about the foreskin, so they may pull back hard thinking it's no big deal.
My advice, if this is bothering you, look into stretching. It took me some time for the opening to get bigger, and now I can pull it back.

Same here, I didn't even realise anything was wrong with my penis until I saw porn and wondered why the end looked different, I assumed that was a product of circumcision.
Stretching works, it may take a long time, but it keeps your "head" sensitive, which is great for sex. I can only imagine circumcision would at first cause chaff, and ultimately a loss in overall sensitivity.
Although the tip of my penis used to be really sensitive, now it's all out more it's not so uncomfortable.

im 14 and i have phimosis, i have had it for at least 3 years, i have been practising pulling it back more and more everyday, and i can have an erect penis with it pulled back again from years of work. I havent had a circumsision but have had a dorsal slit which made things worse. but i have worked, over and over and found a natural cure using a type of special oil if you want more please comment back

hi, i'm 15 and have never been able to retract my foreskin. I do not find urination, masturdation, ejaculation or anything uncomfortable except when i try to pull it back. I'm scared i have philmosis and i know this can lead to smegma and paraphimosis(disgusting condition). So is their anything i can do myself, without resorting to the barbaric act of circumsision that will loosen things up. Or don't i have it and is it all phycological and i need to face my fears and pull back. please answer!

We're in the same boat.
What I did, is that I just pulled my foreskin back gently every day, until it loosened up by itself. Don't stretch it too far though, because it may make little rips in the foreskin (or so I've read). Take your time, and in a few weeks / months, you'll be able to retract your foreskin more and more.

Hey I found out I had this problem a while ago. It didn't bother me until I had sex without a condom and it hurt, usually i used a condom. I told dad about it, and within a week i had a circumcision, it hurt at first, but with the drugs they give you i is fine. It's been about 9 days since the operation, i can see the stitches starting to fade (dissolveable stitches) there is still a little bit of swelling. It looks alot prettier circumcised, i've had nearly 2 weeeks off school. I'm happier.
