Thanks for this great series! I want to start swaging for my .44 magnum. What combination of dies, punches, brass etc., do you recommend or do you have a video series for the same?
This was a great series. Thank you for the info. Do you have any experience with swaging 45 ACP? Am thinking about 45 ACP 200 or 230 gr RN. What setup do I need? Cases, Bullet mold, punches etc. I concentrated on the narration, not the music. Use what you got for background. Cheap is good. Free is better.
You mentioned using wheelweight lead (WW). How much more pressure does this alloy require? Any adverese effects on the dies or press when using WW lead? I'm looking forward to your range report on these bullets.
@blainenay Whhel weights are a little too hard I think. The die won't get damaged but you can bulge a swage punch. I have done that. If you want to you can get another punch made and hardened but be careful the punches are designed to bulge so no excessive pressure in exerted on the dies.
With that music I kept expecting you to turn around real fast and stare at the camera with the gill monster head from creature from the black lagoon though ; )

Since we're on the topic of music and not the content of the video, I think the music is cool.

I thoguht about swaging but it takes 1 year to get the presses and dies. Plus, the RCBS Rock chucker is not strong enough to last?

@backwoods223 I was trying to get rid of the garage freezer noise.

@ammosmith ah.... well in that case, thank you! Those constant buzzing and humming noises are even worse.

@backwoods223 The last time I unplugged the freezer I forgot to plug it back in. Not a good thing.
