@demonx242 If you just do a Google for it, you can probably get a free trial from the zbrush website. The full version of the software however can be pretty expensive. Currently, a single licence for Zbrush on their website is going for about $595 USD. Luckily for me, i got mine through my school for closer to $350, but it's still not cheap.
@tzutzescu not really a relevant question about Polys... ZBrush uses SubDs in the millions to get that smoothed look. You could export the Normals map of that for a low poly model to get a good effect, or if you are using a micropixel rendering engine you could use it as a displacement map.
it kind of it like it /should\ be, he does have his body deformed by the cancer and all that crap. There is going the be another Origins movie about Deadpool so i would give it time. I dont think Marvel just let them fuck up deadpool in the Wolverine movie for no purpose ;)
can you send me some link of a page with tutorials? the institute where I study animation refuses to teach something other than maya 7.0. I really like your work and I would like to learn Zbrush myself. Please send me some links to my inbox.
press control and then mask the parts you want to leave untouched, press control outside the model en so you can oull the mask across...press control and left click once next to the model and the mask will invert, click and hold the left mousebutton and pull without covering you model to release the mask
you can export in .obj .fbx and a variety of formats, and MAX can import them. Visit the programs official forum (Zbrushcentral) they have lots of information there.
YOU CAN'T animate the sculpt though in 3d max if you just go straight to z brush first, first thing to do is make a basic polygon of the sculpture and then create the armature, finally import that into zbrush to add final details, but that is only if your animating it.
the best thing to learn how to make a face in 3d is grab a screen cap of someones 3d head with good topology and mimic it. once you understand edge flows and good quad geometry, its all up to artistic talent and observation. Good luck Ryoku!
you use this app to derive bitmaps and geometry from hi poly models to be used in maya or max or even the source engine. Id say check out pixelogic's website for a full breakdown of the apps features.
Amazing!...

This might just be me with my limited experience, but it seems like modeling a face in almost any 3D program is a royal pain. Do you think so?

Are you able to use this program to make models that work in the source engine or would you have to import it onto maya/3d studio max?
