Dawn of Mana (Gameplay)

This is a horrible looking game. I mean, what the hell is this? Giant Mickey Mouse shoes and no party? They dared call this Seiken Densetsu IV? REALLY?

SEIKEN DENSETSU 3 WAS THE BEST MANA GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sadly it was never released in America, until the emulator version...

Sword of Mana would be pretty cool in 3D, with todays technology and stuff... Keep all the old elements, re-orchestrate all the music, etc... That would be pretty cool.

Well, i've played Seiken Densetsu 2 & 3 (Secret of Mana 1 & 2) and it's awesome!

I never played Dawn of Mana (probably Seiken Densetsu 4) but it realy looks like Kingdom Hearts.

Maybe it plays like KH, idk...

But in KH the main good thing was the story and the new worlds you could travel to and explore

The gameplay was mediocre in my opinion (well, it was flashy and good looking but it did not require much skill to do great air chain-hits etc.)

But then again the game wasn't about the gameplay, it was about the story and the worlds :)

@f3rm1n09 lol, the battlesystem in kingdom hearts is actually quite the same. although IMO I love secret of mana more than the kh games, but that's where it stops though, however the kh games just feel like cash-in games and just drag on. =s

It's sad how many people think this is Kingdom Hearts or think it's just a clone of Kingdom Hearts. I wish they'd re-release the older games on DS so those people would get to experience Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3 and the others.

The only Mana I've ever played was Secret of Mana.  Now that was a good game.

@TheWanderingMind you need to play sword of mana that one rocked and it has an alternate ending depending on who you play as and you get to name the characters

I think the problem with this game is that it's not at ALL what people expected. It's basically a physics-based brawler, not really a mana game. Even the spells in the game exist only to bump the enemies around, 'panicking' them so they give you medals when they die.

I definitely prefer Legend of Mana to this, it feels much more like a normal Mana, even has two player co-op (3-4 would've been nice).

yes it is but legend of mana is 1000 times better in this game you CANT level up, use items, new weapons, etc. this game sucks i buy it 2 days ago and i dont play it anymore :S... and im a fucking fan of legend of mana and SQUARE ENIX disapoint me :S... i just sain that if you like legend of mana you have to play RADIATA STORIES is a very good game and it will entertain you a lot see you man !!
