  • I like :} just got a 260z paint is crap and the inside needs work but.hope.it can look something like this when im finish with it

  • you fucked up an amazing car. next time can you ruin an american car please?

  • I don't understand people who diss others' work. It's like the same troll crowd who diss people who make vids of themselves singing. May not be super talented but they're puttin' it out there, criticism be damned. Hey, not your cup of tea? Go watch something else. Until these people man up and show us they truly are the "Chip Foose of their neighborhood", most others will just ignore the stupidity of a flame post. mudho94, keep on keepin' on, car rocks.

  • OMG SO MUCH ENVYY!!! i want a 240z shell so bad :<

  • Correct me if I am wrong but that looks like a 280ZX not 240....

  • wtf why did you do that too the front end? Should have either done a g-nose, or kept it stock with valence and headlight covers....

  • just like my women FAST LOUD AND WIDE . good stuff

  • need some help working that throttle? jk nice car though

  • It doesn't even look like a Z anymore, but it's dope. Kinda looks like a japanese Porsche 944.

  • this is a sick color man!! what color is it and paint code?

  • @S14Ze I dont remember the paint code but the color was a dark blue used by Audi, they use the same color on the new Audi R8.

  • hahahahaha do you not know how to rev your own car

  • Having had a '72 Z with a built 350 I can tell you from my experience the car handled awesome! especially being lowered and running 15x7 wheels and 205/50 tires. Better than any one of the other L6 powered Z's I had. I actually prefered the oversteer from all that extra torque as I had the car sideways all the time.

If this were my car in the vid I'd get rid of that flex fan ASAP and get an electric one.

  • it looks like a porsche 944 or something with that kit...

  • @theleakytaps , hmmm 9 hours ago you are sitting on the web expressing your manly feeling and leave a stupid ass comment like that, did you see the car drive ? or where you to busy hanging out by yourself in basement , because the only interaction you have in life is thru this media....

  • @mudho94 if you could read i said "handle" not drive, that stupid idiotic engine conversion ruined a nice classic car you idot

  • @theleakytaps hey how about you post some video's of the cars and bikes you built, I am sure we would all like to see that....

  • @mudho94 i have a 260z fixing up and getting painted, with the bit bigger 280z engine, which is pretty much exactly the same so it stays original. i shall make a video then smarty pants.

  • @theleakytaps this 350 might weigh 80 pounds more then a L28ET ( which makes 180 hp).... 350s came ... from the factory with up to 370, but about 275 is the average

have fun searching for parts, but with 180hp it should be search while driving around

  • @mageac just switch the cast Iron Heads, intake, and water pump with aluminum ones and you can save easily 100 lbs or more.

  • @theleakytaps Actually the weight is not much different between the L28 and the 350 chev. If you use alloy heads on the chev it actually swings in its favour, and the weight can be positioned better (lower and back further). If I ever afford an S30 again I will be putting a V8 into it. (I had a 1978 260Z with mild L28 and also have a 1981 280ZX with an RB20DET).

  • @theleakytaps Apparently you seem to believe that the Old L series engines were made out of fluffy pillows. I Hate to EDUCATE your stupid monkey brain on this topic but the L series engines are FUCKING HEAVY. On average they weigh in at over 450 lbs. Just because the L24 has 3.6 Liters less of displacement doesn't mean shit.

  • @theleakytaps

The old z cars were famous for being easy to spin since the back ends were disproportionately heavy. Besides, a lot of sports car manufacturers aim for more weight over the turning wheels. Additionally, its pretty funny to watch someone illiterate as yourself call someone who has done a successful engine swap stupid. n_n

  • what 5 speed trans is it?

  • stock engine?

  • very clean and origanal look, props.

  • I like the Porsche 944 fender flares. Cool car all the way around.

  • i seen you sell this on kijiji hey

  • your my hero

  • Im pretty sure you lit em up for me one day a long time ago at the petro on 104th

    beautiful car!

  • @harvesterofsorrow899

Yes it would have been me, that car could burn the tires off in minutes

  • Aren't Datsuns supposed to have Rotary motors? I'm not sure!!

  • @ambis99 no mazdas do tho

  • @ohmygoditsnate OK, thx...I love Datsuns

  • yea pull the throttle back.. not 2 the front..took u a sec 2 figure that out huh?lol!

  • WANGAN MIDNIGHT!!!!!

  • Noo...Where are the bucket head lights?!?!?

  • the engine swap I can dig, but the thing has just been ruined looks wise.

  • Na, I think it looks alright but some different wheels would help a lot.

  • reminds my of a Porsche

  • jealouse?

  • what porsche has a v-8 chevy???

    I like it

  • If you wanted a Porsche, why didn't you just buy one instead of making that poor 240 look like one?

  • @Hardwyre Huh? it lookes like a 240 to me, not a porsche.

  • Vasthtml> I know what it is, but the body work has pretty much made it look like a 944.

  • nooooo.. the z got sircumsized....

  • WTF happened to the front! I'm diggin the wide body on it but changing the front of the classic 240z is like slapping the Japanese auto god in the face!

  • And this is why I love America.

  • mmm mmmm niceee

  • ): ): ): ):

  • you butchered the car with the GM engine and front end

    you fail

  • Don't be scared of a little muscle

  • I've always wanted to have both a 240z and a Porsche 944....but not like this...haha.

  • What brand and year is the "240z" ?

    I'm no car expert. Thanks.

  • its a nissan datsun 240z 1970's

  • how did you do the front end

  • get an electric fan and electric waterpump it helps alot!!!!

  • you ruined the front of the car. totally ruined.

  • Nice, no too sure about the front end though...

  • I agree that front end is butchered....

  • I like the black wheels

  • THATS A FUCKING BEAST

  • The 944 front end is gross. The sugar lights look so much better.

  • Yah that kinda ruined it for me. Shoulda kept the stock fenders/lights as thats what makes the z cars z cars...

  • does your car overheat at idle, I noticed that you dont have a fan shroud installed

  • you should flare the rear fenders man, that would really make it look cool!

  • you need a bigger exhaust. no offence. sick car. but it could use some headers.

  • rims are sweet looking, where you get em

  • great job. the car looks and sounds amazing

  • did the 350 fit it easily or did you have to make new mounts

  • The body looks great! Love the fenders.

  • Ridiculous.... I love it!

  • Yes there was years of fabrication on the body , trail and error till we felt it looked right.

  • is there a lot of fabricating involed

  • i got the same car with basically the same motor

  • now its a 570z hah

  • lolz

  • lmao

  • I totaly agree with you, dont know why there thumb's downing ur coment

  • Nice ride! Is that a wide body IMSA kit?

I have 82 280zx 2+2 that I'm fixing to drop an L98 TPI 350 and 5 speed into. How much does your car weigh now and what kind of ET's is it running?

  • the car has run 11.34, as far as the body goes, its all hand built, I sold the car about 2 weeks ago, the body was based on a porsche 928.

  • yeah! It really got the porsche look!

  • I wonder if the kid got ahold of dad's Z? He didn't seem to know how to activate the throttle by the carb...

  • no it was me, I was looking thru the view finder in camera and got all mixed up...lol

  • Nice car, but how about a video where we can see you drive it?

  • Give me about 2 months till the 3 feet of snow melt. and I will post some more vid, thanks

  • i love it!

  • race a tiburon and beat it... chevy 350 is the best

  • LOL, I have a 2003 Tiburon GT. Lacks the power I want, but it is a nice car. I will be selling it next year and going with a 280z, which I plan on modifying heavily. I'm not sure which year to go with, but I do know that I have recently become obsessed with these cars.

  • I'd say these cars are right up there with the Fiero's when it comes to how fast they grow on you. :o)

  • Thanks, this is the 4th engine the car has had, started of with 2.4l 6 cyl, triple webers, header, next 3.8l v6 (v6 bad idea)383 stroker that had to much power, broke diffs...and now finally the modified 350..best engine suited to the r200 diff and the th350 tranny.

  • that is the same car, and same engine i am rebuilding now, hope mine is as nice

  • My favorite car on YouTube.
