  • @ 1:01 i melt

  • Fuck yeah, i'm in that awesome corner of youtube again.

  • @SecretPattyFormula harmonica solos, yeah bitches love harmonica solos

  • i liked blues since i was in my dads bag if you get what im saying Lulz i loved that line!

  • I've been singin' the blues since the doctor smacked my bottom on the day I was born!

  • Does anyone know where I can find a band who makes this type of music?

  • Jazz is nearly dead in North America. Being in Toronto, I have my nose in the small, but active jazz culture here, but it's nothing compared to the excellent and growing jazz presence overseas. America fell out of love with her smooth, comforting jazz lover and went for the rock and roll badboy somewhere between the 60s and the 70s, and now she's with the crack-addicted pop boyfriend who's fucking her friends on the side.

  • @GSNRecords If only we could live in the past only for a day, but most of us would stay.

Wow that sounds quite poetic. I'll think I'll copyright it. Nah, I'm against any copyright or patents.

  • @GSNRecords big in louisiana

  • @cajunbrit and georgia haha

  • @GSNRecords

Being a jazz lover in America, it does suck a lot. There used to be a jazz channel on the radio that I used to listen to while in my car. Then, one day it's just gone. Taken over by rock-and-roll. Seems like all the jazz stations over here are being whittled down. The only thing I can do now is go for CDs but the jazz sections in the stores are dwindling by the day. Internet radio is the only way left, which bites.

  • @GSNRecords Couldn't agree more.

  • @leijten Soil and Pimp, not quite the style of this specific song, but more like rush or tank!, they are a Japanese Jazz band and they are pretty prodigious. This video even has similar art style. /watch?v=7tuLK6I4lgM

  • Wen was one badass harp player.

  • dammit. first comment got an accidental thumbs up :l

that 2nd one was spot on haha

  • This is how I feel at work after 3pm...ugh lol

  • It's background music anyways.

  • I'm listening to this while running through my personal budget for the next three months...somehow, this makes these dismal numbers even MORE depressing. Guess I'll be living off of bell peppers and beef (minus the beef) for a while myself.

  • "Jet: Damn that blues harp sounds sweet; I knew it would.

Spike: I thought you liked jazz.

Jet: Don’t be dense. I started wailing the blues when the doctor whacked my bottom on the day I was born.

Spike: A baby hipster, very cool."

  • @KuichikiByakuya read this with their Voices.

  • @KuichikiByakuya

    the dub is awesome

  • does anyone know what key that harmonica is in? I really want to know what the tonic note of that harp is.

  • @veiga1000 the harp's in key of D

  • @KradenEPC thanks!

  • 1998 was a great year ^_^

  • @laikiunreal

    ^^

  • "Nice Tune... Real Easy"

  • Cowboy Bebop is by far the best anime series ever created. There will never be a show quite like it. You're gonna carry that weight cowboy.

  • It may just be me but I have to imagine that anyone who heard this song and ever picked up a harmonica is in awe of the skill of the artist

  • Yall have it for the hot harmonica playing going on here, but don't ignore that beautiful slide guitar backing it up.

  • 聞き惚れる…

    こんな風に吹けたらなぁ

    ってか日本人いないのここ!?

  • I thought you said bell peppers and beef...

  • There are a few instruments that I cannot resist the sound of. The harmonica is one of them.

  • If everyone listened to and watched Cowboy Bebop, there'd be no wars.

  • @aserwin1

Nah, there;d be plenty, just quicker because everyone would kick ass like Spike. :p

  • GOOOD STUFF, COWBOY

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • Fucking goosebumps, the best way to describe this anime, its characters, its music, its soul. And yes, the ones that remain carry the weight.

  • Beautiful

  • Now I have to watch cowboy bebop again.

  • akellos tiempos en locomotion T_T aaaah

  • MAN do I love Yoko Kanno.

  • when im in my later years Ima buy myself a house down in mexico, sit on my porch and Ima play this song while visitors pass by.

  • one heck of a way to start a show. good times.

  • there no beef jet...

  • @thestevo893dude so you wouldn't call it bell peppers and beef?

  • @AwwHellnSnoopy Yes, you would.

  • @ShortGuy1792 "WELL IT'S NOT"

  • @AwwHellnSnoopy It is when you're broke...

  • This song captures the soul of cowboy bebop 100%

  • my computer loves this song !! i know causesometimes i just cant close the window :D

  • A father and his son are out on the corn field at night looking up at the beautiful clear Nebraska sky. The father who is an astronaut tells his son about an old classic blues he learned from his own father when he was a child. He pulls out his silver harmonica and plays Spokey Dokey. The son is amazed by the sweet rythmn and melody of the song. He then says "Daddy when I grow up I want to be an astronaut just like you so I can be a Space Cowboy." See you in space Cowboy.

  • this is relaxing. Bebop foever

  • the world's become a place with no integrity, with all these lids... -___-

  • "for something that tastes bad you sure eat a lot of it"......"well, they say hunger's the best spice"

  • sounds like a job well done and getting a nice cold beer.

  • possibly my favorite tune from the series

  • "...Uhh Jet.........There's no beef with these bell peppers.......So you wouldn't really call it bell peppers in beef...... (Yes.. i would) WELL ITS NOT!!"

  • @skyguy15 it is when your broke!

  • Do you know how long i've tried to get to SPOKEY DOKEY!!

  • @DarkMobias how long ?

  • Bang.

  • @Big12189 my sister

  • One of the best anime ever for so many reasons. Story, characters, style, setting, originality, flair BUT the music is in a league of it's own. Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts, how did you do it? This made me look more into Jazz much more (I'm already a blues and old R&B fan) and I thank them for it. There's something about a lone harmonica that is so soulful, slightly melancholy but beautiful all at once.

  • man the next time I make a stir fry (bell peppers and beef special of course), I'm gonna play this song on my iPod and just sip on a glass of whisky.

  • I.....almost got......Spokey....Dokey...*dies*

  • The stats say this song is popular with males from kid to adult.

  • @charmander4533

Well, it's hooked this female in the young adult range, too.

  • "You're gonna carry that weight."

  • Space-Western!

  • I would love to live in that time XD all that excitment could kill a man

  • This is probably one of the crisper things in my life.

  • lol radio manga i just noticed that.

  • That guy on the picture reminds me of mugen from samurai champloo. who agrees with me?

  • @GatameOne

yeah it does look like Mugen. First time I saw Samurai Champloo I thought, "I know that voice!" They're are so similar.

  • @diarheadick yeah funny how that personality seems to appeal to many.

  • Does anyone notice how everyone who likes cowboy bebop and this song in general are all nice, no ones fighting, nothing but awesome comments :D

  • @xsasukex We're a good breed, with great taste in shows & music.

  • @xsasukex True because unlike most dumb things on youtube...cowboy bebop attracts the good ones XD

  • "You wouldn't call it bell peppers and beef, now would you?"

  • If everyone in the world listened to this song once a day, there would never be another war. THAT is how relaxing it is.

  • very nice wish i can play like that

  • i miss edd :(

  • I love the transition from kickass solo, to nice relaxing blues section. this is one of the songs I'd learn if I ever learned to play the harmonica.

  • Love me some good harmonica playing, and this song has definitely got some good harmonica playing.

  • If I become an astronaut one day, I'm gonna learn how to play the harmonica, just so I can play this song as I orbit the earth in a space station. And whenever I see a guy leave the room I'll point to him and say:

    "See you space cowboy."

  • @BackwardAssassin Then he'll say in reply, as he points his finger, "Bang."

  • And their will be a very awkward, homosexual silence the likes of which mankind has never seen before. And then they will turn away and depart as though it were all a dream.

  • @Momentum139 lolololol

  • @historygenius You forgot about the ending music, "The Real Folk Blues".

  • @matheussousuke Nice work replying to an eight month old comment. I'm sure he remembers posting it. And another congrats for replying with something completely irrelevant.

  • @Killbore1 Do I own you something?

  • @matheussousuke That didn't even make sense.

  • @BackwardAssassin that's the best damn comment on youtube.

  • @BackwardAssassin I'm workin on it. I'm in engineering class and i've got a harmonica in my hands. lol

  • @BackwardAssassin ill be in the backround playing guitar

  • @BackwardAssassin and if their about to pick something up say " Youre gonna carry that weight".

  • @BackwardAssassin I never seen such a great reply before. THUMB UP.

I'm gonna play the background guitar for you, space cowboy.

  • @bh1100a and my comment would a great prequel to where the astronaut in the space station learned Spokey Dokey from which was his father who was also an astronaut in the pioneering years of space exploration.

  • @Billy145891 You're so cool. I would like to vote up 10 times for your comment. :D

  • @BackwardAssassin thats hilarious.

  • @BackwardAssassin Heh! Dude, with a harmonica, you could invent any song- you know what? Just do it! Learn this song! Take it with you going into the wild...

  • @BackwardAssassin I'll come with! And I'll be one of those astronaughts who leaves the room, and I'll turn round and say the exact same thing back to you

  • @BackwardAssassin too cool mate, too cool.

  • @BackwardAssassin

    Oh God please do it!

  • @BackwardAssassin Too bad there's no sound in space

  • @squiigle In a space station? Why wouldn't there be sound?

  • @RiNSpy Well, technically there is sound in space. In space, there are very, very few molecules floating around, but there are some. Sound -can- travel, but it's very very slow-- because a molecule might have to travel miles before hitting another molecule to transfer the sound energy. So essentially, there is no sound in space.

But I'm glad that Cowboy Bebop neglects this law of physics or we'd never have any of this wonderful music. :)

  • @squiigle there would be sound in the space station, there'd be plenty of O2, just not in actual space

  • @BackwardAssassin @historygenius And after a few months of that they'll just throw you out the airlock.

  • Haha. like it. I imagine this song as a background of a Nice o' looking bar, having some beer with my friends.

  • I'm notone of the biggest fans of harmonicas but OH MY GOD this song is pure beauty.

  • beautiful

  • 2 idiots missed the "Like" Door and in return let it hit them in the ass on their way out of the Bebop's airlock.

Idiots don't know good music when they hear it.

  • see you space cowboy....

  • This is FREAKING music to my ears! I LOVE IT!

  • esto si q es la locura!!!!

  • cowboy bebop = excellence

    more episodes would be nice

  • @reelguy333221

you would think so but it's better off the way it is. besides, you can't have Bebop without Spike.

  • Songs like this are why justin bieber sucks

  • @AkatsukiPR0 Please, just stop that. if i have to see another person referencing justin bieber on a good song me heads going to explode. It's not cool, it's not cute.

  • @hyperdemon89

Indeed. I hardly ever hear Justin Bieber because I don't listen to the radio and I don't hang out with people who bother to talk about him all the time. The only time I hear about it is when people hate on him. Seriously, the haters are more annoying than the fans and Bieber himself, tenfold. I don't like him, so I ignore him. Follow my example, please. The same thing goes for Twilight and Miley Cyrus and all other popular causes to hate on.

  • @mrgfunkyman Thank you thank you thank you thank you.

a sane person in this world. we should make babies so this world doesnt fall into an ignorant bliss. I dont like beiber, but to be as ignorant to bash others music just makes my blood boil.

  • @mrgfunkyman Hating on Bieber has become more of an internet meme than anything else. It's seriously on almost every music video on Youtube.

  • "Press my..reset..button" those are the best words to come out of a dying geeks mouth.. when I die, I want those to be my last words :D

  • I was looking at some picttures of one of my friends babies... He's been through so much with his bad health at such a young age... I was listening to this song while i was looking at the pictures... brought tears to my eyes,,,

  • I cant get enough of that harmonica. If my soul and emotions had a song this would be it. Something about the harmonica brings out the best in my imagination. I would love to listen to this song in the desert next to some dusty road watching the clouds drift by as i sip from a cold glass of water.

  • He steps off the train into the blinding light of the desert sun, pulls his cigarettes from his shirt pocket and lights one while the world comes into his focus. Here I am but where is here? Say old timer? Heh eh heh, it's that way young blood. Just don't ask for water, and you'd best be a damn good tipper. .... Spokey Dokey

  • @DontBlinkCreations HeghrupvaDbogh nuvpu'vaD pIvan :D

Sorry, got caught up in the narrative.

  • hes kilin with that harmonica

  • Do you know how long I've waited to meet Spokey Dokey?

  • @SkaterKyoto lol

  • this song makes me to want to learn the harmonica

  • This song is the reason I've discovered my love for the harmonica. love that sound.

  • Reminds me of when I used to live on a asteroid called Tijuana

  • Good old Bebop! Reminds me of back in the day when the show was new to me. My mind = BLOWN

  • I love that Cowboy Bebop came out in 1998, but there are still people looking up this music more than a decade later. Much Love to Spike and the gang.

  • ''Yo spike,dinner's ready'' : D

  • @patsminicooper212 Bell peppers n beef.

  • @pikapikapitiful Jet... where's the beef?

  • @patsminicooper212 There's no beef in here

  • im in the mood for some good chili with extra bacon, vodka, beef and bell peppers and tomatoes and garlic and just everything. extra everything. >: ? D

  • @AnubisEye009 That shit sounds good!

  • @TheArachnoid cuz it is gewd!!! me and my brother make chili thats kick ass. take some tips from bbqpitboyz on youtube and apply it to any food you like. lol

  • @AnubisEye009 Cool, thanks. I'll do that.

  • @AnubisEye009 more like bell peppers and beef

  • @adcac5 please note that i did say "extra everything"...

  • Makes me hungry.

  • awsome really soothing

  • Oh yeah , that an great track! Heil Bebop!

  • reminds me a lil of trigun too.

  • This song will be played at my funeral. It will define my life, passionate and emotional, soulful and real, somber and joyful, flamboyant an simple. This song is one of the best out of the Cowboy Bebop show in my opinion. *you're gonna carry that weight*

  • When I die this will be played when the bury my cold body in the grave. With no lyrics my life will have been perfectly descibed. Passion and soul, sadness and happiness, regret and satisfaction. *you're gonna carry that weight*

  • 1:00-2:00 good stuff, my favorite part

  • Dude, I love bell peppers and beef. *goes to get some*

  • @CrimsonPhantasms I'm learning to stir fry them!

  • yeah this song...just..say's so much so...very much

  • I feel like this song has the right amount of sadness and joy... Kinda what life is supposed to be like...

  • "It's Ready..."

    "What is it?"

    "Special... Bell Peppers and Beef."

Cowboy Bebop always has a Magical, or Humorous ending to every episode. They always leave you with a sense of astonishment inside yourself.

  • Couldn't get any better than this.

  • ...man, I should really buy myself a rocking-chair and a harmonica....I could use em` right about now

  • Everytime I hear the harmonica in this style it always makes me think of a really hot day in the barren desert, and I'm about to start working on a car or something.
