Some nebulous concept of God is functionally useless. There may be a God, but if there is, it is a far cry from God that demands worship, sacrifice and obedience nor one who occasionally authors books or speaks to individuals who as "god-by-proxy" hold authority over other humans. It is fascinating to contemplate the idea of a god or gods, but functionally, it makes no difference.
