I've wrestled all my life and Have done extremely good but when i see this i dont care about how i did, I think about how amazing he must feel along with his team, friends, and family! He is a true inspiration to all wrestlers!!! Glad I got to see this video!! Thank you!
it’s not about wins, falls, takedowns, reversals, or back points. its about putting in more sacrifice than you ever thought you could to feel that indescribable moment of getting your hand raised after being to hell and back for 6 minutes. I'm coming back to the sport 2 years after dropping out of school and leaving my college team. If Jordan can battle for 3 years of grinding, unforgiving wrestling along with cerebral palsy, I can get my life back on track with school and wrestling. Thank you
this video was great! ive been wrestling for most of my life now and whenever i see a wrestler throw their head gear or punch the matt my blood boils, because i know there are wrestlers out there who dont have the god given talent to have 100 wins in a season but yet when they lose, they have respect and walk of the mat proud of what they did. this video was truly amazing
I just recently came across this video.... I've coached for seven years now. And this has to be the most inspirational thing that I've ever seen. I'm forty years old, and I'm not gonna lie. I cried. What that kid did stands for everything that wrestling is! Pure determination. Unbelievable. And for a whole team to gather around him and support him, as well as his coaches, parents and the community as a whole. Says alot. I wish I had a 100 Jordans on my team every year.
@kzoomtb Hey man I have a doubt for you, I am form Mexico and unfortunately wrestling is not a very popular sport like tae kwan do or boxing. I have only a few bases, I am 21 years old am I too old to being good at it?
What that kid did was amazing, I know how it feels to win like that. When both wrestlers are tired and out of gas. Here's something my coach once told me: " The winner of the first round is the best technician, the winner of the second round is in better physical shape, the winner of the third round is the wrestler with the biggest heart." good job kid.
big ups for this kid I know wrestling is the hardest most pure sport left in the world It is hard enough without a health problem I cant imagine.. good job kid!!
No dude its a shame that people like you have to be all cocky and boldheaded about what they did, and i would love to meet a kid like you on a mat!! You have a lot to learn dude, and by the way kids in wrestling dont look up to other kids on the team that have won many titles but they look up to kids on the team that show leadership and dedication to the sport like this kid did!
Did you have cerebral palsy? This kid wrestled for three hard years without quit just to see his team celebrate him getting a victory.... this vid is a celebration of him overcoming the adversities that he faces every single day..... put yourself in those shoes. Nobody cares what you did elielc
i agree with elielc.. its great that he won 1 match and all but honestly if i where him i wouldnt want everyone praising me for winning one match even if i where at a disadvantage.
Hey dude congrast on state but thats doesnt make you any better than anybody else you are just another one of those cocky highschool wrestlers that thinks they are all that and arent mature enough to be respectful to others. From what i can see in this video i would much rather watch this kid wrestle than some kid that all he cares about is winning his match like you. It sounds like you need to grow up and not be so cocky and stuck up.
i too am a respectful person and i think i deserve to be said hey congrats man on making it to nationals and winning state. ppl work hard so we wrestlers that have state champions inspire other ppl to follow the steps we made. n i dnt care about winning cuz i dont act all bad that i won. i simply am happy for accomplishing what others supposebly work hard for. so i dnt need no growing up cuz u would be acting all bad if u won state too.
i pretty sure i wouldnt be acting all bad and cocky about winning state i mean i could go on ive got 3 conference champs under my belt 3 district champs and ive been to regionals three times but you dont see me or any other wrestler on here talking smack on how sweet they are. I just love the sport and like to see kids like this kid wrestle casuse it takes a lot of dedication to stick with this sport and motivation to win a match.
i can write bullshit here too. wheres ur proof? its a shame when ppl like u have to lie. ur wasting everyones time. dnt write back 4 everyone's sake. HI HATER
elielc congrats on accomplishing everything that you worked hard for. Winning this match was what he worked so hard for...the sweet taste victory in a sport that so many times end in bitter defeat. Remember your win where you accomplished everything? Remember your losses too? Losing isnt fun and sticking with the sport after so much defeat is some kind of courage. Congrats to you too mudontires! we all have our own definition of accomplishment. for the kind in the vid this is IT! nuff said
irishpyro331 if you weigh 110 then u wrestle 112 and besides 125 and 160 i beleive the 112 is the hardest weight class in highschool to wrestle you got kids cutting from 140 and 150 over the whole summer to make the weight and this is a great video. Grats Jordan
true...but it depends on the state...Here in MN where wrestling is bigger than almist any other state, 135, 160, 171 and 152 are super tough, google Apple Valley High School wrestling, in the last 10yrs, they have one the state title 8 times, maybe 7. And have over 30 state champs.
i honestly don't believe that you wrestle (and know you weren't a good wrestler if you did) after what you just said. The sport isn't hard for those who don't try hard. I could slack off and make practice easy and be on the JV squad too
well dragon thats not right because i private messaged you and told you of the situation with him and you still did not care. by the way i know that ryu is either your other profile or your buddy's profile and you went around and thumbs downed everyone that disagreed with you. lets be mature here and let this one go...
well like I said, I discontinued this account and I didn't receive any messages until after I logged onto dragongokou5...over a year later basically. I may have logged onto it once or twice before but wasn't aware of any messages until yesterday. Email is disabled on this account so I'm never notified.
ok, I found the original message. you said autistic but I misread it as "athletic". So I guess I did respond after all but I still wasn't aware of it. Without knowing that background info which you didn't provide in neither the video nor the video description, as a wrestler, I took serious offense because I thought you were praising him over the "comeback" he made in the match.
I did thumbs down the comments that insulted me but I have every right to do so.
xryu22 is a friend of mine from x-country. I showed him the video after seeing how everyone was calling me a douche for an honest mistake. I guess he thumbs downed a few too. I didn't ask him to however nor did I ask him to comment.
ok ok that is understandable. I just thought that the video made it clear that he had a disability and if i said Autism i was mistaken because it is Cerebral Palsey. Ill change the info for the video
Basically I thought this whole "inspiration" was supposed to come from solely on this one match. Like I see the video, the kid is wrestling terribly, then he somehow makes a comeback. Then everyone praises him. Then I think to myself, "wow, what's so special? he got lucky but he sucks."
Then I see a bunch of hate comments. There was NO WAY I could've known he was mentally handicapped. They didn't say it in the video nor the video description.
even if the kid had never won a match it takes lots of courage to be a wrestler and in his case a BETTER man for sticking with it, great vid an im sure drago didnt know the kids situation before posting and if he did hopefully somebody will piss in his cereal bowl tommorow..........
well I'm sorry if I offended you guys but how the hell was I supposed to know he was mentally handicapped? It was never even mentioned until after I posted.
Dragongokou5 you are a certified piece of crap. This video is awesome. I had a kid on my team that was "slow" and he lost every match he ever wrestled from 7th grade on but he came to practice everyday and toughed it out everyday. His senior year he finally won one match and and the team and crowd was more excited to see him win than any of our state qualifiers ranked kids etc.. Point being this Jordan is amazing and this is what makes wrestling amazing. Thank you for posting this.
iSkateSD, I posted that over a YEAR ago. I stopped using this account A LONG time ago. I just logged on this one for fun and I suddenly see all these comment responses! I didn't even know my post got this much attention. It was never once mentioned he was mentally handicapped and I was the first poster. Because the video didn't mention anything, I honestly thought that it was basically about him making a comeback in the match by freak luck. No one told me he was handicapped.
Hey, I know this kid. I was there when he won this match. He has cerebral palsy and couldn't walk without a walker until high school. He was on the wrestling team for two years before getting this pin. It was the most incredible wrestling match I have ever seen. Nice job with the video.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Wrestling is a also about skill and technique. Which he failed to demonstrate. He constantly reached over, sloppy form, and always on his knees. If he were wrestling someone who knew what he was doing, he would've been pinned a long time ago. It was a constant scramble with no definitive movement. He got put on his back relatively early, and his opponent was tired by the end of the match trying to pin him. This was pure sloppiness.
He may not have the technique, skill, or athleticism of you or any wrestlers for that matter. Why don't you comment on something you fuckin know about cause you clearly don't know shit about wrestling. Jordan Jager is simply the best wrestler i know for many reasons. Heart, dedication, will, courage, i could go on all day. The man has cerebral palsy. he could not walk on his own untill high school. he worked harder to get that one win than you have in your whole life you peice of shit
dude the kid is mentally retarded cut him some slack, and your right he didn't have good technique for a wrestler like you or me, but for a mental retard he is amazing.
