@xxPatheticEmoxx actually, the pocket station released in 1998, the same year that the dreamcast was released in japan. to put it another way, it was being advertsed with the dreamcast, and therefore, the pocketstation is a vmu ripoff.
@SporeFan01234 Pocketstation and PS1 came out before Dreamcast. And reason Dreamcast failed, is because Sega was creating multiplatform games instead of locking exclusives for themselves. Once the PS2 arrived, it destroyed the competition, because it was a multimedia device AND also had the best library of games on any console.
@Anoush13 Except the dreamcast came out in 1998 in Japan, two months before the Pocketstation, and Sega made nothing multiplatform until after the dreamcast was already dead, not counting Arcade games.
@Anoush13 wow really sega didn't make multi platform games (except for the neo geo pocket color which teamed up with sega and could connect to the dreamcast) until after they were knocked out of the compitition
