The best and most emotional part of this act is not shown on the DVD. I won't spoil it here, but if you ever get the chance to see this show, do it for this act alone.
Since i saw rhis when i was little i have wished to learn aerial silks i started my studies at 21 years old but my parents denny me any support so i have to quit it nad finish my university.. im affraid by the time i end my studies at age 25 maybe be to late.... is so sad i want to cry...
i love how im meant to be doing my essay on media and body image but instead watching this. its like sensual, beautiful, sadness death and life all in one she is AMAZING
I have been a die hard Cirque fan since I was 6. I've seen every single touring show after Alegria and all of the resident shows in the United States. I have to say, though, without a doubt, the image and dynamic of this act from the first time I saw Quidam way back in 1997 still gives me chills.
A real masterpiece of beauty, art, and strength. One of the most, if not THE most, beautiful acts in any of their shows.
If you had but one performance with which to explain Cirque to someone, I think that this would be my choice. Between Isabelle's phenomenal artistry and the beautiful and compelling music, can humans really be capable of such magnificence ? Peace:-)
I LOVE the way her hair fell out (intentional or not) midway through the performance. It really drove that particular character's storyline forward. Very, very beautiful!
@AsianAgentScully Did you know earlier when she did this performance like a month before this, she intentially did it by accident. And so the people at Cirque liked it so much they kept it for the rest of the show. Just a little fun fact for ya' :)
@AsianAgentScully Heres a fun fact! When Isabelle Chasse first started performing, at one show, she accidently did it. So the creators thought it really went good with the performance, so they kept it!
@AsianAgentScully yeah, I totally agree, but I always wondered as to whether it was actually intentional or not. If not theyprobably wouldn't have used it in the commercial video, but on the other hand maybe they just liked it (for obvious reasons) and decided it would in fact be an excellent idea.
this is the firest act i saw of cirque do soleil, and it was totally my inspiration, this is my favourite act of all the shows i `ve seen, dralion, corteo, ka, varekai, alegria, la nouvelle experience, la nouba, i mean everything is amazing and beatifull, but there is something abouth this number, she expresses so much feeling and beauty and passion, i love it.
Oh my god. That was so beautiful... and it amazes me that anyone could do something like that. I know I would be scared out of my mind even to be up that high, let alone only having two pieces of silk to hold onto while doing all that. And the music is simply gorgeous. I really loved this preformance. Thanks for sharing ^ ^
She looked so alien and strange on the ground.

The single best Cirque act ever imo. Worth twice the price of admission.

Great preformance... though slightly racy- It looked like she was naked from the waist down.

what is this song called?
rocknrollglitter234 1 year ago
@rocknrollglitter234 On the cd it's called 'Let me fall'. But the show version is a lot different. That's the way Cirque works with his music.

This is spectacular. She looks like an angry silk spider struggling in her web.
