It's always exciting for me to hear anything new by Kraftwerk, especially when presented in this mysterious (and typically Kraftwerkian) fashion. I really love this piece...it's so calming and I especially like the variations on the melody from Expo 2000. Definitely one of my favourites.
I haven't really heard anything new by them, but once I passed a shop and heard some cool stuff, turned out it was Kraftwerk. Too me.. it would be too hard to release something, cause it will be compared to all the old material.
I agree: It's "Expo2000", but it was made for the homepage. Very nice video, it fits great to the music

scatmanjohn3001 2 years ago
No, it`s a unreleased remix / reprise of "Expo 2000" in a "Kometenmelodie-style"
In 1:52 you can even hear the entire lead melody of Expo 2000

I also think this is a "aus EXPO 2000 abgeleitetes" song, and I'm fascinated with it. Kraftwerk, please release a CD of this beautiful song!

Yes it's really Expo melody... this is from "Ur Though 3 Mix" from Expo-Remix single... but it's a little changed...

It sounds remotely similar but it's definitively not the same tune

Well, it's placed on Kraftwerk website and as you can see, all of the content is copyright of Kraftwerk. But I don't think somebody would mind :)

Actually this is not a new song, it's Kometenmelodie from 1974 album Autobahn.
SolroboteR 4 years ago
Well, you haven't heard the autobahn album for a while...
You can hear Kometenmelodie 1 & 2 on those 2 videos : 7yiTPIYQ4fw and o6IgJINJoGw and it's obviously not the same song

I saw them in Tokyo in 04. Great show. You gota give respect to the Godfathers of techno. I like this sound. Mellow and deeply chiled out. Nice.

I think is an improvisation on their typical harmonies. It is very nice and relaxing indeed. I like when they do that too, for a change :)

Excellent and very relaxing. I'm excited to hear more.

Yeah me too. I hope we hear some new sounds from Kraftwerk soon.

The sound is very mellow and moody. I like it. The main notes play the Expo 2000 melody.
