  • I can't decide if I like this or not

  • Evangelion.

  • @DerCruiseShip

This is in Eva? I always wondered why this song made me nostalgic... When is it played?

  • @soranemo I'm pretty sure this was in RahXephon, not Evangelion :P

  • @soranemo It was initially supposed to be the shows opening song, but the executives wanted something to catch the audiences attention. Sooo we got J-Pop instead.

  • This song made me believe in God.

  • This is the song I will have played at my funeral.

  • i play this on the steel drum :)

  • The pictures artist: Labix

    The singers: Ensemble Planeta

  • such a beautiful song!! i lovee all versions but this one just takes me away..and the pictures too.

  • apparently (an earlier comment) possibly Ensemble Planeta. but they really do sound like them.

  • Who performed this version?

  • ... intensely human, for as far as ears can hear, eyes can see, soul can feel...

all at once and round the clock :)

  • Wow...

Were did you find all the pictures?

  • so awesome.

  • extremely pretty and mysterious( both the pictures and the song)

  • The pictures are beautiful, and so is this song. It always makes me calm.

  • ...Ensemble Planeta?

  • Yeah I think the pictures are amazing...where you get them or who's the artist?

  • I sang this and danced it!

    volshebnoya vesh!!!!!!

  • @TaliaNightheart I must know too!!! Anyone know?

  • @Pelaymi I actually did find the source for most of these pictures online.

I've sent you a private message since it's too much trouble to edit the URL in order for it to post in comments.

  • Kare Kano and RahXephon used covers for this beautiful song.

  • when i here this, it gives me chills down my back bone

  • van gogh influence in the moon; nice pastals... the polovetsian dances is one of my favs!

  • <3 I love it.

  • Heaven...

  • This tune was americanized with the song " I'm a stranger in paradise" Tony Bennett sings it a lot.

The song was polovtsian dances from borondin's Prince Igor opera. but this song its from Ensemble Planeta a Japanese Vocal Chorus.

    Sorry my english

    ---

first refrain of this song is in russian, but with a strong accent.

The rest of the song is not in russian.

  • I First heard it in "Garden of Everything" song, then during the Simpsons episode when Bart has that preggo girlfriend...followed by DS game Princess Debut. I realized that i was NOT going crazy hearing the same tune ovr and ovr. It's from Russian? opera "Prince Igor"

  • it's russian song, but what language are they singing? Japaneese?

  • It's not Japanese. Not sure what language it's in but parts of it sound like "Engrish."

  • I think -I'm not sure- they're actually singing in Russian.

  • Title: Polovetsian Dance

    Taken from opera "Prince Igor"

    Composer: Alexander Borodin

    Language: Russian

This audio is performed by a Ensemble Planeta, a japanee vocal chorus

Try these versions, type in Youtube:

    1. Sissel - Prince Igor

    2. Cafe del Mar - Polovetsian dance (lost paradise)

    Happy listening!

  • Thank you so much! Ensemble Planeta is amazing!

  • You're welcome, honkeybot5k!

  • w8 its in russian right?

  • Yup, it is Russian.

  • It was in RaXephon. The Garden of Everything by Steve Conte and Sakamoto Maaya.

  • could you send me the song if you can? this song is so nostalgic to me it's so sad.

  • Anybody else know this tune, but only find out the name from RahXephon?

  • Who made this version?

  • Beautiful, just simply beautiful...so relaxing and serene

  • song is great, but the images are just as good. who's the artist?

  • does anybody know how to get this song in mp3?

  • Superb

  • Sweet sound of music....

  • Where'd you find this version?

  • Better than the DDR version, that's for sure! LOVE it!

  • Still one of my favourite DDR songs though! :P

  • omg...so nice...i feel...chilled

  • so great a piece.
