I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of ABC News' ABC World News With Diane Sawyer's Report On Are Handheld Lasers Dangerous? On Wednesday Evening, January 19, 2011.
Stop selling them for pennies... if you make it expensive parents aren't going to give them to small kids, and moronic grown ups will probably not be able to afford them anyway...
Lasers are "guns", their projectile is "light" ... they need to be used with the same degree of care as any firearm.
It's time to move into the 21st. Century with these "gadgets" and make people aware of their "unintended" consequences when used by "idiots" having fun at someone else's expense.
@grizzzlyjoe exactly my thoughts. Those things are incredibly dangerous and I seriously don't understand why are they being sold freely and for such a low price.
this should be treated like the crime that it is, you can't fire guns at aircraft, fireworks, lasers, spot light or anything that could possibly impede the safety of an aircraft. nor could you at an auto-mobile
Laser pointers must have a maximum of no more than 5mW. Class IIIb lasers (5mW-500mW) are ILLEGAL for laser pointers, but I have found them an numerous trade shows and online.
Lasers are extremely dangerous to the eye because light coherence and the frequency is a significant fraction (read: harmonic) of the eye's diameter.
Oddly enough, lasers are regulated by the FDA, not the FCC as one would expect.
POpular channel this, them chopper pilots need Aviator shades, when the kids see this...oops Apachis could take them out,..a couple of firestorms. Blame it on the media for showing you how to do..! add light to a different subject LoL, Q/> why do they show flashing lights and strobes and lazers in camera..? why blind the viewers..? -0-0- Get Some Glasses. SpecsavrsurEyes
Come on guys why must be do this when the police ect are working so hard to keep us under surveillance, btw how dumb is this new network ohh I know what's a huge problem lasers pointed at aircraft so lets let everyone know it works because the amount of people doing it won't rise derp derp.
I used to own one. Bought it to play with my cat, that thing blinded him during daylight when pointed at the ground. Its used for pointing at the stars at night. Cost me about 50 bucks.
Switch to mini-gun targeting cam then shoot mini-gun towards the light.
