If the back foot stayed on while the board was popping, then there would be no pop whatsoever, since the impact of the board hitting the ground would be absorbed by the foot.

Go watch the berrics trickipedia for the ollie. My back foot always stays touching the board, and I ollie high, and always land bolts, so their is no mistaking I'm doing it right, and well.

@thenamelesscrow If you look into the technical physics of how a skateboard pops and why it does, the back foot must be off of the tail to create the pop. Not by much, not even a blatantly visible amount, but it does come off.

Also, there's no such thing as An Ollie south, just an ollie. An "ollie north-south" is called a ghost ollie.

Skateboarding is about creativity and expressing yourself. So if a little kid just starts skating and rides off of something and we have kids out there telling him "oh, that's not a trick, go ollie it, you poser." I think that's sending the completely wrong message in skateboarding., and it's a big downfall for the sport in general.
