@PHIL1245 There's a lot that can be said about micro helicopters, but when they claim it can do 3D... it usually has more than enough power to do so.

Also.. this helicopter doesn't weigh much, so it doesn't require significantly more power to do the 3D stuff anyway.

i have a nano neon which is the uk version of the lama2.. exactly the same except it doesnt have LAMA down the side...

Very difficult to fly but then again ive only had a 3 channel heli for a week and loved it so upgraded to a 4 channel....

its cool tho im getting there.... ive only flown it in a 20ft square room so im guessing ill find it LOADS easier if i use it in a big open workshop....cant wait, gonna take it to work tomorrow :d :D

It's certainly not the newest nor the best micro heli. The best ones are probably the Gaui 200 or the T-Rex 250. If you want to upgrade to a micro cp the size will increase. The 4g3/4g6 can be flown indoor though. The difference between the 4g6 and 4g3 is the tail. The 4G6 has got a cp tail, the 4G3 an tail motor.

Having a Walkera 4#3 with FP i usually cut down the throttle when things get out of control. This could turn out to be a real bad habit with CP helis i guess (negative pitch). LOL.

geohillbilly, 3D means up-side-down but there is a big difference between regular Walkera 4G3 3D (this Walkera video) and extreme crazy Walkera 4G3 3D (wowhobbiesvideo).

Original Walkera 4G3 wih brush or double brushless motors all have very marginal 3D capabilities. To get advanced 3D, you need to upgrade to main motor to Turbo Ace 91416 brushless (not the Walkera brushless) and the tail motor to 2.9g (not the Walkera 2g Tail). Just Google "Turbo Ace 91416" and "Walkera 2.9g tail".

Get 4G3 with upgrades. Basic upgrade: Metal Head (red rotor parts between the main blades), Brushless upgrade (BL main motor is a must, BL 2g tail motor is a plus), Turbo Brushless upgrade for best 3D performance with extra torque power/lift (Turbo Ace 91416 BL main motor and 2.9g BL tail motor). My favorite US vendors are: micro-flight, wowhobbies, rchobbyheilcopter Have a blast guys!

so... is everyone with this heli pretty happy with it overall? I have been flying heli's for 2.5 years now and i fly two Trex 450's 2 Trex 600E's and fly all stuff from scale, 3D, and aerial photography. However i am looking at getting a nice tiny little heli capable of good flights as well as some 3D. This thing looks surprisingly stable, is it? how does it compare in handling characteristics to the 4#3b since its CP? Thanks, i want to make sure it's a good one before i buy it.

I've been a proud owner of one of these things for 2 weeks now. The person flying in this video would be a PRO on a 4G3 considering the small space. However, the copter is as stable as it looks! Yes you will eventually break it, but parts are very cheap compared to bigger helis. Just make sure you go to a GOOD VENDOR. The major heli forums have a list of good Walkera vendors. Post a comment to inquire and I'll give you the top 5. I'm a hobby person NOT a salesman. Good fun this heli!

Thanks downthedrain08. I am very interested in getting this little guy. Like i said I am a Veteran RC heli Pilot flying all Trex machines ( 2 [600's] 2 [450's]) and i fly 3D, scale, AP and sport. i bought the little 4#3B which is fixed pitch so it doesn't fly very good in FF. I was hoping this little one would be much better with FF not to mention mild 3D. I was thinking about getting a Trex250, but the cost is high so this little guy seems like the way to go. Who do you recommend buying?

No, it cannot be switched. If you want throttle on the left side then you need to buy a mode 2 transmitter.

we have to consider this before buying.are the servos precise? how about the motors? the frame? the plastic rotor head? if you are very positive about this go ahead.don't forget to buy loads of replacement parts! the TX and RX definitely a thumbs up!....i hope walkera should consider the durability and maneuverabilty of this cute heli before they release it.let us see and wait.

TTerence a retailer of walkera products has reported that walkera are planing on releasing a brushless kit for this heli. But its probly just for the main motor. The 4in1 aparently has a port where you can easily attach an esc, those are some clues for you.

One thing I dont like about walkera though is that they keep to 3.7v on a lot of their micro helis, 7.4v is the way to go. More RPM.

I have walkera 4#3 and 4#3B they are great helis.i am really very eager to have the the 4G3 but to tell you honestly flying a tiny heli the way the big 3D helis does is close to impossible and will be expensive specially for beginners,for the intermediate pilot well i guess it will be interesting BUT still be very difficult for them to fly considering the size.CRASH PRONE heli .walkera has pulled out the 4G3 for obvious reasons like vulnerable parts unless they come up with full metal upgrades.

You obviously hate walkera but they have come a long way as what they were like a while ago. Products like the 4-3b and 5g6-1 are great but they still have some work to do. Dont expect it to be bad, look at how its flying, looks great. Walkera have had a year to develop this thing. Lets see what they can accomplish in this time. Walkera are being brave in my opinion, walkeras the only company providing a whole range of micro helis and there the only company that are constantly developing them.
