i think what will happen is: Another major terrorist event will happen on Obama's watch, scaring the US public into another post 9/11 fear fuelled frenzy - making Obama seem soft on terrorism - by closing gitmo and denouncing torture etc.. The republicans will then constantly remind the public that no terror event happened after 9/11 on Bush's watch, therefore giving the republicans a "tough on terror" image. Then jeb bush will pop his head up and the rednecks will be begging for another bush.
