  • i love learning about india it fascinates me!

  • @ crazyLassi hey- my mums going to Uttar Pradesh. Also she is going in a tourist group. Oh and I also think this might help a bit- my mom can speak Hindi but not write it- would u recommend she try and learn??

  • @AllSeasonShimmer Yes, definitely. It is worth learning a few phrases, at least. I would recommend to by "Hindi-Urdu-Bengali" phrasebook by Lonely planet. They have some good phrases and cultural advice. If your mom doesn't want to learn, Indians speak a pretty good English and, I guess if she's going with the group, she'll be fine.

  • Thanks for the latest videos. I continue to enjoy watching them. I really liked this one too. I was amazed to see 3 people on a couple of the motor bikes. I also noticed how scratched many of the vehicles are. I don't think that it would be wise to drive anything very expensive over there.

  • @ZenerSmytok Thanks for your comment! You're right, new cars get scratched pretty fast over here. In the traffics motorcycles and rickshaws loaded with steel pipes, packed horizontally (if you know what I mean) scratch the cars very easily (that's what happened to ours). Those families that don't have a car, use motorcycles, so you can see a husband and wife and their three children and even babies sitting on one.

  • @CrazyLassi I think that only in India could you witness such things. Someone on TV said that he was once driving towards India but did not know if he had yet crossed the border into the country. Just then he saw an old bus coming towards him. On the front of the bus were two boys. One boy was catching the water that was leaking out of the radiator. He handed it up to the other boy who then poured it back into the top of the radiator. The guy then thought "Yes, we are in Inida now !".

  • The women on the back on the bikes don't seem to like helmets.

  • @joelp63 Usually only the one who drives wears a helmet. Yes, I have never seen women wear helmets - only dupattas (scarves).

  • Ah my mom is going to India for the first time, she's pretty nervous- can u make a vid of what to expect and stuff??

  • @AllSeasonShimmer Well, India is pretty vast. If you could tell me which state is she going to, then i will try to make a video (I live in Uttar Pradesh, near Delhi). Also, you might expect different experiences if you go alone, on business, as a tourist or to live over here.
