  • Hi Michele!

    ty and greetings

  • What is the E for?

  • Thanks for all of the great comments! I'm glad to see it is helping!

  • Great advice!

  • THANK YOU! That's one of the clearest explanations of getting the right breath to start.

  • do u need more air for an oboe than a trumpet? i know that half ur air is wasted in the flute but is any air wasted in an oboe?

  • @GLkamina121

Thank you for the question! You actually don't need a great deal of air to play the oboe but there is some pressure required to get the air through the small reed. If you take a high-quality breath in the way that I describe, the pressure will happen naturally and easily. This will eliminate any excess tension.

  • i had that problem with the trumpet, and my sister was having trouble with that problem with her flute! this is an allaround lesson for correct breathing for wind instruments

  • ive been playing the oboe for about a year and the problem that i have been noticing is that i am lacking the support in breathing when it comes to playing the oboe. Thanks for the tip on the breathing lesson.

  • this is cool :)
