@MrRokNRoll Since 9/11 Police have been trained to deal with all sorts of issues. They are required by our state to accompany Fire Fighters to any situation that is called in. NYPD is always the first to respond. By the way, at that time it wasn't clear what really blew underground. What if it had been a bomb? We took everything seriously post 9/11 and I thank my city for the quick response. I was there that day and it was chaos not knowing what was happening.
