this game is truly one of the greatest games i have ever played, to this day, it was not only the sequel to what pretty much CHANGED games forever, it improved on it with one of the best soundtracks iv'e ever heard, graphics that STILL are bearable to look at even now, and some amazing little additions to the first game, like first person shooting, dragging dead guards, lockers, amazing enemy AI (at the time)

It has the most creative storyline in the series, that can't be denied. Just too much about the game that annoys me. The fact the your a different character other than snake doesn't bother me, after all the story wouldn't have come across as powerful if you weren't Raiden. Just wish they didn't make him look like a girl moan like a girl. He's a cool character, background etc, but nah. Also were did the dark gritty atmosphere from mgs1 go? I know mgs2 is unique, but msg1's dark gritty atmosphere

..back when ppl bought games for long admittedly drawn out fictional depth & mythology that made you THINK!. Id rather Hideo overdue It evrytime with flawed masterpeice almost TOO DEEP.. than to pump out a shooter only focused on multi player & they throw a single polayer campaign in thier cuz they have to to make you justify 60 bucks instead of half that!= todays devs & greedy companies, gamings last great stuff is here! Hideo is the last TRUE old school dev with passion that perfects new tech!

Ppl bag on this game in the series but to me this was beyond great!, It was exactly what I wanted on realse & the story was epic..trying to rescure otacons sister emma from thye building with her underwater on my back seeing graphics that blew my mind & water bubble detail that still hasn't been topped (lol seriously swim underwater & compare it to games TODAY!). tHE RAIN AT THE BEGGINING! talk about realistic, this was better than mgs3 thats just trendy to say mgs3 was best but #2 was ON POINT!

never has a story suprised me in my life, i wont spoil it but once raiden gets naked, the story becomes as unpredictable as ever. i was almost decieved that my game had been hacked. one of my personal favourite games ever

a couple days ago, i played this game from start to finish and spent 6 hours sittin on my butt. i went from 9 to 5AM. i was crabby and tired. but you know wut i relized? i just saved the world from an enormous nuclear attack from terrorists, so you know what?...it was all worth it...

i was so mad they made me play as that whining emo blode with a gigantic woman's ass for 3/4 of the game! his boring conversations with rose almost made me give up many times...

SoL is the less enjoyable of the series for me. it almost feels like kojima lost it a bit in terms of plot and bosses.

and not be able to play as snake is still not cool.

that said, its one of the best series ever.

Mgs2 was great with the knew gameplay and graphighs, but it's still in my opinion the lowest in the series and the story is realy confusing, i hated that you can not controll the ending the way you could in Mgs1 and even Mgs3.

Fortune is the most anoying boss i have ever played against i have so far never heard of anyone who could defeat her and why could you not save Emma the way you could with Meryll.

And i am a Metal Gear Solid fan i will just not of this game exept for the Tanker chapter.

@navylaks2 Fortune was a breeze to get by, just keep moving. Rolling, ducking and even going prone are great evasion ways. All you have to do is stay alive until the elevator comes down. That was probably one of the easiest boss battles, compared to the 3 metal gears you face at the end.

Thats not defeating her it's boring to do a boss batlle where you can't fight back, i know there was the sorrow in Mgs3 but there was a meaning with that boss the less people you killed the faster you could beat him.

I found The End battle to be realy interesting it was a true mgs sneaking boss, they should have made fortune like that sneake up behind her and take her out

@navylaks2 ok, I get what your saying... well, there was kind of a meaning towards the battle though (im guessing), it was probably to show off Vamp's imortality. But idk, and I do like the ending battle against Solidus. Thats was sooooooo epic. But I still think the best boss battle (my favorite) in MGS was when you fought Liquid in MGS4. Omg, I know it may not seem that epic, but I swear the graphics of that battle was basically real. Snake and Liquid both looked real...

@dcom94 yes i've beat the game, but the gameplay sucked so bad that all i did was run and roll through enemies the whole game. i did not even want to fight people because of the boring gameplay, i just wanted to see the storyline and the storyline was not even that good. the cqc in mgs3 was bullshit too, i was all hyped for the cqc and it turns out it sucked ass. MGS1 for psx is the best. also, u don't know me, so don't say shit..."Moron!"

the theme song for this game is too cool. It's so intense and epic. Usually I hate when developers for games make songs really epic because I say to myself "It's Just a Game" But in the case of this game I never said that. It fits the game all too well.
