hmmmm....If the building was only 24 years old, it was likely not even paid for and the taxpayers are still likely slaves to it through Tax Increment Financing.
OK, it's been a while since this was posted. What're they doing on the site now? I know here in Miami, the old Orange Bowl site is where the new Marlins stadium (boo!) is gonna be.
lmao. "a sign of progress in our city". you mean holding citizens and fans hostage for a new stadium that tax payers flip the bill for, but see none of the profit? what a bunch of idiots. seriously, people are idiots to subsidize private owners who will leave if you don't pay the ransom money.
GOOD RIDDANCE!! As a Baltimore fan i hated that place. The Irsay loser Palace,, Thats why former Mayor Hudnut lured Irsay to Indy cause he wanted that dome stadium. Also thank god for that Sewer place in Pittsburgh gone as well. Well indy fans YOURE STILL NOT GETTING MY ORIOLES! :p
@steveox1961 fuck you weve got our team youve got ours ur just jellous because our team kicks your teams hiney Hole! ps we dont want your sorry ass orioles were gettin the rays in a couple years anyway
@tylerswrestlingshow The Rays?? LOL!!! Why not try for the Toronto Blue Jays? But anyway Indy has the most shittest fans on earth.. The reason why you got the colts was pure politics. And wait til Manning retires boy! Cause the Colts will be back into that Loser tradition we know about for years.
the "hoosier dome" gave us that homefield advantage to begin with its not the same in that quiet box aka lucas oil stadium i wish the nfl hadnt made us get a quiet box to replace the dome oh well go colts
Because in baseball there is a respect for tradition, They were built well the first time. Still I saw the fieldhouse but never did get to go into the rca hoosierdome and I was in indy several times I live in northeast indiana. atleast they did not do a crane demo to bring it down and it came down all at once.
We all thought the "Hoosier Dome" would never ever get torn down, I mean why?..now its gone and I wonder how long all these new places will last. Retro might look really dated in 15 years..lol
:( No matter how much you look forward to the new place and all the fanciness, Its still so sad to see the old girl go down. Amazing that todays stadiums are so dated in just 20 years, when ball parks lasted nearly 100.
Oh! i know its going to be there for a while its a good stadium, but compared to the ones that are going to be built in the US and around the world the Lucas Oil its going suck.
Makes me feel old, I'm 34

Funny the view is from Illinois St. Since the NFL team from Chicago, Illinois won the first reg. season NFL game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Do we need to relive who beat that very same unmentioned team in one of our more recent Super Bowls? *Cough* :P

What's more recent :)
Hiei2k7 2 years ago
*cough* Within 5 years.. Involving some certain Black and Orange colored team versus some certain Blue and White colored team. :D
