Great vid. Im looking at useing this method, very clever. Seems such a pain to have the finder take up all that screen realestate.

I created 2 smart crates like yours.

1) .als file search

2) .asd file search

3) would like to create a crate of .als and .asd but I cannot get this method to work. Any ideas??? no biggy.

Where do you store your files.?? I would like to store mine on a external HD.

Do you think I might run into problems when I upgrade computers?? Appreciate your help. Thanks heaps.

Thanks for a great video. This is pretty cool, though I really wish Ableton would give the browser a major overhaul, and let us bring in tracks via midi, from a decent inbuilt browser.

@rross101 Some have clips. SO, I use a smart mixer (you can find it on dj tech tools) for my basic 2 track mixing. Those B C B C channels are Source and Cues from that mixer config. In addition, I use more channels for loops, stabs, dj drops etc. You can check out the Smart Mixer at dj tech tools.

@rross101 i'm not sure i understand... would you like me to do a video on what those other tracks in my set up are for? if so, in the meantime... one is for BMore percussive loops (to change up a constant hour beat), one is for horns, lazers, claps and sirens (for cliche fun) and the last is for dj drops (to build identity)...
