You know that being said the one thing I actually commiserated/found purchase in was when she said that loving someone is a "beautiful way to die". It's melancholic and despairing but true.

I am so adverse to this character. She may have been intended to have been comic relief at times, but rather I found myself gritting and grating my teeth whenever she spoke or was on screen. Just the way she was a vessel and a slave to her baseless "love" (which I interpreted as obsessive infatuation in disguise) for Light was mockery of any genuine relationship. It was a misfortune that Jealous loved such a vapid, insipid, colourless girl. Er, no offense to fans though, just an opinion :P

It makes perfect sense. Rem told Gelus that because she know that it was against the rules, although neither of them knew that it would result in the death of Gelus.

Still though, this was one of the most touching deaths in the anime.... =/

Jealous was possibly crying when he was beginning to die; shedding tears now that he had saved Misa, but saddened that this would be the last time he'd even see her; and he wouldn't even be able to talk with her at all. it is romantic: Jealous was as a selfless guardian angel.
