  • lol Rompeprop embryoyo intro

  • dat dude is in hellraiser 5

  • This needs a special re-release on DVD... not a remake.

  • I wonder if the user who wrote the top negative comment realzes that Nightbreed was written and directed by Clive Barker (also the writer of the original novela Cabal) who is a gay British horror author? Just goes to show you how pathetic ignorance can be.

  • Shut the fuck up

  • but you gotta think, what a boring life for those monsters under the cemetery when this movie wasn't made

  • I remember the computer game for this on the Amiga, my finger was agony from clicking the mouse to make Boon run.

  • If you were one of the Nightbreed, which one would you be? I'd be Peloquin, no question.

  • @Violator37 Hell yeah Peloquin is bad ass, his eyes are wicked. Him or Devil Lude

  • Thanks!!

  • I can't help but notice that Peloquin bears a striking resemblence to the Wraiths in the PS2 game "Primal."

  • Hi,I'm not American/English...what's the meaning of "God's an astronaut"?

  • @kurumeci saying god is alien in otherwords

  • @kurumeci There is no meaning but Midian is where the monsters live.

  • @leonard127 It was all played out in a sarcastic manner. was like saying, at one point, the word was flat because people believed it to be. they weren't really monsters, but everyone believed them to be.

  • Nice movie, very classic.

  • Fuck the law, I want meat!

  • This movie is missing Charles Xavier, Wolverine, Magneto, Gambit and Morph ;)

  • I remember This was one of the first movies that ever scared the living shit outta me... I was like 11 or 12 when i seen it and i couldnt sleep for two days..ha. I was 4 when it came out though

  • You guys should check out Rompeprop's song called "Embryoyo". They use from this scene and put it as the intro to the song, its bad fucking ass.

  • 1:33 damn that must a been a good hit

  • @samsmix lol yeah.

  • @shutupstupid9 It is actually a cult classic. wasn't cannibalism since the peloquin was no longer human.

  • @Guardiac not to mention that the book this was based off of was written - and in fact this film was directed - by British author Clive Barker.

  • @Guardiac Peloquin is a nightbreed and erin was a human at the time

  • One thing I recall about this movie is how good looking David Cronenberg was in it! He rules, even though he's playing the villain. All the creatures are cool in this movie, especially Shuna Sassi and Peloquin.

  • The best part! I want MEAT!

  • come to Midian, come...

  • I search this movie, because I only seen one part of it as a kid. Lo and behold... I find the exact part I seen as a kid!

  • "He lied, asshole!"

    I love Peloquin.

  • @SihkStitchedKid same here<3

  • Peloguin has the most badassed voice. And the line "Everything is true. God's an astronaut, Oz is over the rainbow, and Midian's where the monsters live" is fucking poetic.

  • lmfao "fuck the law"- that dudes a badass. great low key movie

  • i saw this last night! Awesome movie!

  • "Move and I'll slit your throat".

  • Clive Barker is awesome- he gives undeniably cool personalities to his creatures, making them much more than typical "monsters".

  • Hell yeah. I just started reading Clive Barker because I finished most of H.P. Lovecraft's stories.

  • 0:26 for life

  • Peroquin is hot.

    Demonic or not.

  • i wanna see this movie so bad!

  • Could you put up the whole movie?

  • Naah, the only good part was Peloquin's quote, and the porcupine woman.

  • My favorite part of the movie is any part with the doctor donning the buttons mask.

  • I was thinking about this movie for days i saw it when i was a little kid back in 1991 i was always wondering what this movie was called i use to see it in the VHS section of grocery stores when i was little

  • I LOVE HIS MEAT!

  • I didn't know Jay Leno was in this.

  • He got attacked by a california raisin

  • Raisins are hardcore

  • The movie definitley outlines the metaphor of a gay man "coming out" more than the book does. That was Barker's original idea, I believe, and the film does it so well!

  • LOL Shut the fuck up! I miss those days when saying shut the fuck up was more pernicious than it is today.

  • He Lied Asshole

  • fuck the law .. i want meat :D

  • Clearly never a vegetarian..

  • Anyone remember Nightbreed the interactive movie game? Hardest game ever! Never got past the graveyard...

  • Yes, i had it on the Commodore Amiga! Pretty bad game, but the instruction booklet had full colour pictures from the film, and the box was really quite cool!

  • haha how funny just saw this clip and thought of the exact same thing. Well hard game especially the graveyard level.

  • Yeah im looking for the Commodore 64 intro music...its epic

  • awesome video mate fucking love this film, who would have thought mr cronenberg would make a 100% convincing serial killer as deckard? haha

  • I got it on dvd u have to go online and order it,thats what I did

  • i would shit myself

  • His name is Kinski. I have all of the Nightbreed comic books. Cant remember but he either drank a potion and look at a half moon and tha is why his face looks like a half moon shape. In the comic book Cabel, Peloquin and Kinski becomes good friends.

  • Does anyone know the moon shaped head guys name?

I've never been able to find out what he's called despite seeing the movie when it came out...

  • Whatever happened to Clive barker anyway? I don't see anymore of his movies lately. the last time I saw one of his works was the 'Lord Of Illusions', How dissapointing.

  • Clive Barker is still around he just did a Horror video game for PS3 and Xbox. Cant remember name at the moment. Looks cool but the game play is not good. And yes I wish they did another movie or maybe remake the first one. What is really cool about the comic is they had a Hellraiser vs Nightbreed and Rawhead Rex vs Peloquin. Rawhead Rex was Clive Barker first screenplay.

  • Love this movie. It's too bad they never considered a sequel. I really taught there would be a part 2, since the movie ends with the pyscho preacher, yelling "Halleluyah, Halleluyah!" when he resurrected the villain. Perhaps, Clive Barker can pick-up where he left-off and continue to Nightbreed 2. It's never too late, look at 'Indiana Jones', he's back after nearly 20 years. Bet if they do continue to Nightbreed 2, it'll be spectacular with CGI then the first one that used old traditional style.

  • amazing. When I saw that as a teenie I actually thought Boone was attractive. Now I'm so busy gleeing over Peloquin's voice and eyes I hardly notice Boone.

What a bloody shame that I can't find any other movies in which that actor (Peloquin's, that is) played.

  • Oliver Parker (Peloquin) was in the first Hellraiser movie as the skinny guy trying to haul a couch past the stairs; which led to Larry cutting himself on a nail and bleeding on the floor, causing Frank to resurrect...

It's not easy to see, because of the make-up he wore in Nightbreed, but the smile is still the same.

Fun fact: Most of the actors in the first Hellraiser movie were friends of Clive barker from school.

  • Thanks! The Peloquin character gives me happy shivers all over; I was so dissapointed that he died in the end.

The first Hellraiser movie was pretty interesting; the later ones were, well, remakes.

Which doesn't mean that I wouldn't jump up and down in joy if Clive Barker made a Nightbreed remake. Meet the Dead of the Night indeed.

  • But he didn't die. If you closely in the scene were the remaining nightbreed are gathered in a barn, he's standing on the far right, I think.

And if you're as big a Peloquin-nut as I am, you should consider buying the Nightbreed comics. They let Peloquin run rampant in those, much to this little fangirls delight!

  • Mhmmmm, Peloquin running wild.... sounds tasty! I have to rewatch Nightbreed as soon as I can. I think in the destruction of Midan a car got Peloquin but of course the Nightbreed are hard to kill. I think he died in the book, but it's ages since I read that.

I'll look out for the comics, thanks!

  • @RabiaB he didnt die. you can see him at the end. hes on either side when boone leaves them in a barn.

  • can some body repley and tell me did this ever come out on dvd cant get it anywhere

  • As far as I know there's no DVD. Now and then you find a VHS tape at e-bay and they tend to be pretty expensive.

  • It is possible to get a dvd. We got an american copy, which was obviously a different region! My advice is to shop around.....

  • I bought the US region 1 version then used DVD shrink to convert it to region 0, nicely nice

  • "Fuck the law!"

  • I love this movie, the characters from the book.

    I really enjoyed this one.

    It is underrated!

  • has to be one of the best clive barker films ever made, and to have (david cronenberg) and (Doug Bradley) star in the film ,makes it even better.... craig sheffer was great aswell

  • Clive Barker's trying to find the missing footage so he can put his Director's Cut ready for DVD (And hopefully, Blue Ray Disc) :)

  • Fuck the law, I want MEAT!

  • i sooo like the book :D cabal

  • Cabal is awesome. I own the book...and I'm impressed with the movie too. :)

  • gotta get some vid of the bezerkers up here

  • "MEAT... FOR THE BEAST!"

  • i cant find this movie anywhere! i love it! i'm a huge horror fan and clive barker fan.

  • Its hard to find, I had to order mine from Amazon.

  • I Taped Mine Off Of The TV

    Luv Tara

    xXx

  • Clive barker is fucking insane

  • This is one insane movie

  • Classic Cool Film ! My all time fav ! Gotta love Peloquin !! Meat for the Beast !

  • I like Boon's attempt to convince Peloquin that he's a murderer. Peloquin said "Shut the Fuck Up, your meat" haha awsome line

  • "Every thing's true. God's an astronaut. Oz is over the rainbow. And Midean's where the monsters live."

That's my fav line in the movie!! Great dialogue

  • This movie looks COOL but STUPID as well!!

  • that makes it a stupid-cool movie. :) the movie is awesome.

  • This Movie has a place in my heart!!!!!

  • What I think is humorous is that "pinhead" was to be more like a teenage cheerleader type. Not a man. In fact the nails in his head were originally jeweled hat pins. I am scared of the fact that they are making a remake of the original hellraiser. Must find my book and read it again... and all my others!

  • the original novel is wonderful. oh and guess what fans. they are REMAKING the original Hellraiser without Doug Bradly. Now do you know who he plays in nightbreed?

  • THAT is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I had a very bad feeling the moment I heard that Clive wasn't directing it. Now I'm seriously afraid that it's going to be screwed up. *clings to original 1987 version protectively*

  • Doug Bradley plays Lylesberg.

Did you know that Nicholas Vince the guy who plays Kinski also played the Chatterer Cenobite in the Hellraiser movies.

I'd love to see a directors cut DVD of this but I have mixed feelings on a movie sequel because I fear they'd screw it up.

The Comics were excellent though, there was even a two part Hellraiser vs Nightbreed: Jihad graphic novel.

  • Ohh have to add that to the comic collection!

  • innit cabal is ace and doug brad is a legend instead of rippin films like hellraiser they should focus on making clive barkers other work like weaveworld

  • I agree on weaveworld, and would like to add the great and secret show.

  • Who's Doug Bradly playing in this and would the original Hellraiser be the first ever released Hellraiser?

  • He plays the man with three sets of eyes in his cheeks. And yes the Original is the first. Of course there is a movie that was kind of a short film that had a touch of hellraiser but it was a long time ago and I barely remember it.

  • Wow, didn't think that that many had seen this, cool. And yes, this movie blows Hellraiser away.

  • I just went out and bought this movie I loved this clip so much. Too cool

  • Peloquin is one cool motherf**ker. Clive Barker is a genius.

  • Every scene in this film is captivating from the beginning to the end. No viewing fatigue. Cronenberg is excellent as the psychopathic doctor.

  • I Love This Movie!!!

  • Amazing Movie!!

  • David Boreanaz and Craig Scheffer...seperated at birth?

  • They do look alot alike.

  • The novel Cabal is great, the film Nightbreed looks like a great adaptaion.

  • That guy with the dreadlocks voice is awesome! How does he do that?

  • voice harmonizer. changes the pitch in your voice making it higher or deeper.

  • Oliver Parker rocks. :D
