@youpaynow78 it's like, it drives in 2wd but when the rear wheels loose traction , the front wheels come in, thus going into 4wd. So its basically like having a full time 4wd.

yeah, as far as fuel economy is concerned, these vehicles don't perform too well; however, they are reliable and last a long time. I have a 1998 XLT 4.0 V6, (145,000 miles on it) and I get about 15mpg in the city. Everything still works too!

Dont buy the 1998-2001 Ford Explorer they are junk They lose power and nobody dont know why. Dont get me wrong ford are great cars except this kind of Explorer.
