I saw the show a few months ago in Melbourne and was lucky enough to get to see Anthony Warlow. It was awesome, I'm married but totally fell in love with Anthony just from his voice.

I agree. Being a die-hard Chaser fan, I of course don't even watch Channel Nine, but also being a Phantom obsessive I thought I should watch this.

However, yes, there were other Phantoms that were of course just as good. Possibly better, I haven't seen all of them!

i saw phantom in meblourne for my 16th birthday last week. it was amazing, and so much better than the movie. the movie is great, but obviously there is a different air to live theatre. anthony warlow is the best phantom i have heard in a lifetime of listneing to every recording i can get my hands onto.

Yeah, some people even booed when they heard that it wasn't him, how mean can you get. That would put me off, but Simon was amazing. Yeah, I really wanted Ant, but I don't mind so much now that I didn't get him.

I can understand people being very upset not having Anthony but booing isn't cool. THat's just mean. I mean people go and see Phantom because of him so I mean it would be a pain to spend all that money on tix and miss out on who you wanted to see. But booing is so rude!

I love Ant, I went to see it and was really sad when I heard that we had Simon, but as it turned out, he was awesome and got the most applause out of the entire cast, and I'm actually glad it was him, as I've seen Ant a few times in other stuff. It was the best show, I loved it.

Indeed, it's not easy to be the understudy, having to carry on with the show hearing people groaning for not seeing Anthony. Heard great words about Simon Pryce. He could have been the new phantom star if Anthony had not agreed to take the role again. However if I had only one performance to see I'd still pray it's Anthony.
