One of the absolute finest pieces of music ever recorded. I'm so thankful to my parents for raising 10 children in South Central Los Angeles, with Sinatra recordings constantly on the turntable. How much richer we are as adults. And oh, the memories!
My new Hubby and I danced to this song for our first dance. I love this song. It is a real song about being together forever no matter what! It's beautiful...My hubby and I love Frank! :-)
This song will never grow old. Poignant, sad and sweet all at once. What a talent. Thank you so much for posting. I listen to this almost daily. Loved Frank.
3:39-3:42 - man, its hard to hold back to the tears. Its amazing how one piece of music (let alone one passage of music over a diminished chord) can be so utterly moving.
I'm familiar with a lot of Sinatra's material, and I've got to say that this particular recording is my favorite by far of any other tune he ever recorded.
I love frank ,58 years old. when I was very young my mom would have Frank on the HI FI ,every saturday while I cleanned up my room and other chores before I could go out to play ball with my friends.I thought I hated it but I grew to love it . Now every sinatra song i ever hear reminds me of my wonder mother who has been gone for many years. Thanks to mom for introducing me to Frank and thanks to Frank for helping me remenber my mother.Miss them both
Hi, i am sorry your mom is gone but she lives on with the music....i too remember my mother cleaning the house with Frankie singing, i would skip school and hide under the bed and really get a show..i was such a bad girl ! my mom is still with me i am 55 years old and she is 82 years old and she and my dad still play Frank's music ...only now on C.D. the old music was magical ! and Frank has got many diamonds in his crown for his songs ! i lost my big brother to cancer this year,i grieve too !
I'm 64 years old and have been a Sinatra fan for 50 years. Your video moved me to tears.
You picked THE most moving, sentimental and poignant song Frank ever recorded! (from the Frank Capra 1959 movie "A Hole In the Head").
And the photo montage...starting with Frank's earliest Hollywood pictures and segueing through each wonderful period of his fabulous career...simply awesome.
I'm now in my late 60s, and when I hear Sinatra it still puts a glow on my face, and lift to my spirts. Is there a better word than the BEST? He had a gift and and I'm so greatful he shared with us.
my personal favorite from Frank...and i have heard every song he has ever recorded...there are 2 versions he made of this song..this is the better one..a bit slower..IMO..

Everytime I hear this song, I ask myself, is this Sinatra's best song ?
It might very well be.
It is clearly heads better than the Capitol rendition.
The voicing on 0:23-0:27, is among the greatest ever !
