Now it's still approx a 1 liter engine, 3 cylinders with an estimated of 300 engine hp, still waiting to break in the engine a second time so if your intrested then wait for the next video. 0-90mph factory was 45+ secs, now it's closer to 12 seconds on the same block. Block however has been sleeved, new je pistons, carillo rods, new valvetrain & spring kit developed & few other things. Just for personal fun n to sell.

My Mazda 121 goes about this fast, that's my daily driver, It came with an 8 valve SOHC 1.1L engine and I put a 1.8L in it, it felt like I tripled the power haha.

@MangoSmoothie16 I've answered it before but the short answer is that it's not realistic by any means. I wanted to see how far I can push the factory engine and I got the answer, now I am using the factory block and that's the only thing I'm retaining and building up a crazy engine with it. I also have sold what I have made to other owners and recouped my investment so it's all a fun paid for hobby in my view. :)
@GotNoLyfe You are absolutely right, the hayabusa is good for track and youtube but not in most cases. You lose the drivablility, you can't put anything in the car anymore, you simple things like a/c and I can't sell the kit and make the money back at my shop.
@zxsk8zx I know huh? haha.. it's like a street legal gokart in my view. Low center gravity, tank is centered and under your seat, lowest thing in the car. Transmission and engine is also behind and under you. Just a tall car that is not very aerodynamic but fun as hell to drive and that's all that matters to me.
@otoakki To 60 mph it takes 2 shifts, and from 60 to 90 mph the factory car takes an additional 32 seconds! So.. lets just say factory smart car does 0-90 mph in 45 seconds, before I blew up the engine a second time I did the same 0-90 mph in 15 seconds, anyone that appreciates cars can appreciate the huge improvement by itself. Now the engine has been overhauled and the car is expected to have close to 300 bhp and accelerate much quicker with a higher red line.. subscribe n stay tuned!

@otoakki I was one of the first to get the stg 2 kit and since I have my own shop I redesigned the kit and everything is much better. 300 is from the factory block.. engine.. but with my newly engineered internals and electronic hardware. The engine is coming back together for the second time, engine will be put together in a week and the car should be done in a month. If u send me a message I'll send u the link to the entire build on a forum I post at.
@littodevilish Awesome, cause i plan to get a smart and boost it up, but i still somewhat question 300hp off stock block. You should be faster than a 430 spyder if you have that power. Even the hayabusa is only around 200hp, nos pushed it to 320hp. And have you solved the shift delay problem with smart 451s? cause i test drove one and its delay is...needs improvement. I would like to see yours do the 0-100 test =)

@xEMSxBWE45x Nope, it doesn't.. I agree but this video was posted a long time ago.. I had intake air temp exceeding 200 degrees so the air wasn't that dense. Now I have intake temp down to around 100 degrees and it has a whole lot more power, I have yet to post a new video but good observation.

@clarda1 Driving it extremely hard on the entire tank yields me around 28 mpg, not bad considering if you did that with any other car.. you'll net a lot less. :) I didn't build this car for mileage though, I have a hybrid for that.

@VandQand3and0...Smart turbo kit plus tuning is going to run you about......hmmmm.....$4-5 grand. Not really worth it if you want to go fast but worth it if you want something unique that nobody else has.

@VandQand3and0 Pouncey is correct, the engine has now been rebuilt twice, with the block being sleeved, carillo rods, forged pistons, lower compression, lightened flywheel and a whole head job with a new valvetrain designed for 30 psi of boost and 8000 rpm. It's makes NO finanical sense but I'm lucky to have the customers and the means to build it and supply extra parts. and.. it's a whole lotta fun on the track :) send me a msg if you want to see the build up.
This car would be sooooooo much more fun if it had a fucking decent gearbox! :( it feels like a decade to change gear in one of these (the amount of momentum lost) im thinking about buying one, but only if the gear box can be changed or smoother, as i cant stand the delay in the gear changes :(
@mcmanus1806 Haha I agree, but smart wanted a cheap car.. that comes with a cheap transmission.. but I have gotten the transmission to shift a lot faster with a transmission control unit remap, and a lighter flywheel to allow the engine's rpm to drop down faster to engage the shift.

@littodevilish Awesome, cause i plan to get a smart and boost it up, but i still somewhat question 300hp off stock block. You should be faster than a 430 spyder if you have that power. Even the hayabusa is only around 200hp, nos pushed it to 320hp. And have you solved the shift delay problem with smart 451s? cause i test drove one and its delay is...needs improvement. I would like to see yours do the 0-100 test =)

@xEMSxBWE45x Nope, it doesn't.. I agree but this video was posted a long time ago.. I had intake air temp exceeding 200 degrees so the air wasn't that dense. Now I have intake temp down to around 100 degrees and it has a whole lot more power, I have yet to post a new video but good observation.

@clarda1 Driving it extremely hard on the entire tank yields me around 28 mpg, not bad considering if you did that with any other car.. you'll net a lot less. :) I didn't build this car for mileage though, I have a hybrid for that.

@VandQand3and0...Smart turbo kit plus tuning is going to run you about......hmmmm.....$4-5 grand. Not really worth it if you want to go fast but worth it if you want something unique that nobody else has.

@VandQand3and0 Pouncey is correct, the engine has now been rebuilt twice, with the block being sleeved, carillo rods, forged pistons, lower compression, lightened flywheel and a whole head job with a new valvetrain designed for 30 psi of boost and 8000 rpm. It's makes NO finanical sense but I'm lucky to have the customers and the means to build it and supply extra parts. and.. it's a whole lotta fun on the track :) send me a msg if you want to see the build up.

This car would be sooooooo much more fun if it had a fucking decent gearbox! :( it feels like a decade to change gear in one of these (the amount of momentum lost) im thinking about buying one, but only if the gear box can be changed or smoother, as i cant stand the delay in the gear changes :(

@mcmanus1806 Haha I agree, but smart wanted a cheap car.. that comes with a cheap transmission.. but I have gotten the transmission to shift a lot faster with a transmission control unit remap, and a lighter flywheel to allow the engine's rpm to drop down faster to engage the shift.

Wow so many people Hating on something they don't even drive, Get a damn life and grow the F up. I have a 2001 Chevy prizm, K&N intake, MSD Coil Packs and Ignition. Carolla Transmission, Stock rims(Faded Black, some Rust), It's my everyday commuter. I drive about 65 miles a day and love the mileage.
