  • you are on the right side of this

    (santa clause = satan claws ? !)

they ( xmas, easter & ect ) are all of pagan origins & not approved of by the CREATOR for sure !

  • BTW most denominational mainstream preacher's don't teach the truth, cause if they did they'd be lookin for work. They get paid to teach some doctrine not GOD's word. If you want truth U have to go to mostly Independant church with no affiliation with doctrinal ones. Besides when I start talkn to most pastor's nstead of dem discussin it, they member there's sump n to do. My family gets a kick outta how fast I can make a pastor sweat. U prob e can tell I dont go 2 church I Bleive n a Creator tho.

  • OK man Luke 1:5 Zacharias serving at Temple, Course=Abia= 1 Chron 24:10 8th Course is Abia, Jewish calen. starts w/spring equinox-usually st in Mar, the 8th cor. st in JUN + 6 mo=DEC Back to Luke1:13 Zac your wife Elisabeth w/have John Luke1:31 Gab tells Mary u gonna have Jesus Luke1:36 Gab tells Mary that cousin Elisabeth is 6 mo. preg. Luke1:41 Mary visits Elisa. babe in womb leaped on approach of Holy Spirit Luke1:56 Mary stays 3mo. John is born. U can't get much clearer than that: Peace

  • @JimmyCarol100 I'm not interested in your attempts to piece together what you are after here. I asked if you could name any accredited scholars that supported your position. Convince THEM first or I'm not going to waste my time with it. 2ndly, even if you get it to be in the vicinity of December, you have nothing placing it on the 25th. You are reaching...REALLY hard I might add.

  • @KingHeathen EW Bullinger-The Companion Bible with David Ginsburg also James Strong of The Strong's Exhaustive Concordance and it's not what I'm after, its as clear as can be in black & white in the bible. Can you read with understanding? These guys put the books out most accredited seminaries use but like I said they teach their doctrine or else. On the web BlueLetterBible uses these and are in their study tools.I kno wat cha mean tho diff relig's teach diff things. I read tha bible-Peace

  • @JimmyCarol100 You are quoting Bibles that have your verses in them...you aren't catching on here...there are many scholars that read the exact same verses and don't come to your "clear" conclusion. If THEY aren't convinced, why would I be? And you STILL haven't given anything for the 25th. I'm done replying unless you can provide what I've asked for.

  • @KingHeathen The Campanion Bible is a KVJ version on oneside of page and the other side has got the main items/words in each particular verse with key info on relating to it. + it has 198 appendice's with various key studies. And the Strong's Concordance is not a bible, it is a book with each word of a bible listed ABC, and verse used in and a number for the word in original language and a dictionary in the back to see what it look & meant in original language which can B used by any NT christn.

  • @JimmyCarol100 I KNOW what they are...and you missed the point.

  • I follow no man, GOD's word speaks for itself. How much plainer could the Bible be than Luke chp 1 and 1 Chon. 24. Just ask a couple preacher's where you live, since you don't believe GOD's word. Not just one, cause there's fringe element's everywhere. Plus all major theological seminary's teach Christ was NOT born on DEC 25. Back when they were tryn to convert pagans to Christ, 25 Dec was chosen so they wood b in church instead of at the pagan services.

  • @JimmyCarol100 Which means you can't do it. And yes, the date was chosen to appease people celebrating the winter solstice...it has nothing to do with the conception. Plus most scholars estimates the birth would have happened in the Spring which (if correct) kills your hypothesis.

  • Also KH the judge was pissed cause he thought he had you on satan's side, and was mad cause you don't worship his god on Dec Tree bow down day or the pagan goddess Ishtar on quick like a bunny spring orgy day. I was'nt even there and can tell you how he acted, but you think about how he acted. Kinda strange was it not? Whether you believe in GOD or not, satan is real. So if 1 is true ? what about the other? Peace

  • Santa is anagram for satan, and pagans celebrate it to serve their god= satan. I believe the Immaculate Conception happened in Dec. because ITB when Mary runs to tell Elisabeth she's gonna have a baby, says Elisabeth was 6 months pregnant w/John the Baptist. And from scripture Zacharias was serving at the Temple his course Abia(Jun 13-19) then a few days to walk home Elisabeth pregnant 22>25 Jun + 6 mo. Dec 25 the day the Spirit of Jesus(Life) placed in Mary. Elisa.baby lept as Mary aproach.

  • @JimmyCarol100 Yes, well, every accredited CHRISTIAN Bible scholar I've ever read disagrees with you.

  • @KingHeathen If you've talked to a bible scholar and he can't find the facts I outlined above, he's not a scholar cause it's as plain as day. EW Bullinger 1837-1913 was the theologian that spent his life compiling and putting together The Companion Bible w/198 Append. Not to mention its in Luke Chp 1. I'm not Jewish so I had to study/look it up. But if you type Abia in the web see what it gets you. Facts R Facts. FACT is you don't know a scholar if he can't read LUKE Chp 1 and understand English

  • @JimmyCarol100 I challenge you to name 5 ACCREDITED scholars that will side with you.

  • When I was a Christian I felt I had to make sure I didn't tell my kids about Santa Claus because I was told that all lying was wrong. After deconversion, I have come to think that telling kids about Santa does more good than harm overall.

  • @LisaisWay what good would that be?

  • @KingHeathen I understand you were upset, but most kids don't react this way, the most kids it makes the experience of christmas more magical. With your child it's your choice though.

  • @LisaisWay That wasn't the question...what is the "good" of it as you see it? Because it makes kids think it's "magical?" Why not do that with everything then? How does the TV work? It's magical elves inside acting out stories. How does the car run? Magic gerbils run around in the tires. Isn't the REALITY just as good as the fantasy? Xmas is a time when people show others that they care. WE got you gifts because WE care about you and appreciate you. (No magic man/lies needed.)

  • Jerimaih 10 1-4 say do not put a tree in your house and decorate it with silver & Gold ! I am a christian, so it amazes me how many break their back to celebrate this day ...wow

  • read the txts. i think its funny a11canadian, just dissapeared!! guess you'll never get that answer.

    KH1, a11canadian0

  • were you forced to go to church when you were a kid? cuz i am and its sooooooooo boring and i have better tings to do like wach tv or youtube

  • I find it very stupid. it's not some old guy giving out free gifts to kids. it wasn't a bunch of elfs who made you that expensive ass toy you got. when you saw that toy, your Mom/Dad or both saw that you wanted it and loved you so much that they put aside what they wanted, worked hard&saved. So on christmas day, they could bring joy to you.

  • I totally agree with everything your saying!!!

  • I personally do not believe in Santa, but I also don't celebrate Christmas. It never says in the bible to have a holiday on December 25th and to celebrate Christ's birth. Also, if one insisted on celebrating His birth, they should do it some time in the early fall.

  • Great vid, my first time visiting your channel.

There's too many atheist channels out there that are unwatchable because the host is obnoxious or abrasive, I definitely appreciate your style. Subscribed!

  • I love the pointing out of the hypocracy (sp) I am not christian far from. Not sure I'd call myself atheist either but I would fall in your categorey of antitheist. :) But I do celebrate christmas we don't make it about religion. it's more like the celebrating of the soltice. We have a tree stockings gifts and family. We really focus on family. And being together. I have no prob with that. I also don't have issue with santa. It's just a fairy story. And it teaches alot about good will. (con't)

  • (con't) so I don't have issue with it. Not to mention that in a metaphoric sort of way he does exist. In that people several times for my family have taken up the role of Santa. If not for them we would have had no christmas. No gifts, nothing. And for that I thank them. There is a spirit of christmas and good will. So I think that the santa story is ok. Because it teaches this in easier terms for kids. When they reach the age of non-belief then they can really understand that it's (con't)

  • not a single guy but rather a spirit of good will. Cause if not for that good-will well.... my family has been homeless a couple of times, we've had no food, gifts, or a home for the holidays. (and that sucks in winters) and it was that good-will of the holidays that got us thru. I has no problem for now while they are toddlers atributing that to santa and then later explaining that santa is a metaphor.

  • I'm a Christian and believe in God, but I totally agree with you. I remember never actually believing in Santa, but I was always pissed off that everyone (including my parents) tried to make me believe lies.

But the end of the day, were you ever a Christian? Not being judgmental, because I'm sick of judgmental pricks who like to look down on others. Just asking.

And by the way, I point out to other 'Christians' that Jesus never pointed the finger at anyone other than the 'religious' people.

  • Yes, I was a very devote Christian for the majority of my life.

  • What changed your mind?

  • Watch "How I became an atheist."

  • 1. "my" son??? That should be "our" son is now in "my" custody.

    2. "santa claus" is a myth. No one should lie to their children.

    3. "Christmas" is on Dec.25 (days after the winter solstice). Jesus was probably born in September or at the latest, early Oct. The Bible doesn't say when; it says that shepherds were out in their fields at night, watching over their sheep. The latest shepherds are out in their fields at night, is late Sept./early Oct. So, don't lie about Jesus being born on Dec.25

  • 1. NO, he's MY son...and HER son...there is no more "our" as I see it...but yes, it can be worded BOTH ways. Who are you? The semantics police?

    2. Agreed!

    3. The Solstice is generally on the 21st HOWEVER before the Julian Calendar was accepted, what we now call Dec 21 WAS Dec 25! Watch my video "The Christmas Tree" for more details on that.

    4. Most scholars give Jesus a SPRING birth date...probably in April around Passover.

  • 3. Didn't they celebrate Dec.25 because it took until Dec.25 to notice the Sun getting higher in the sky by then?

    4. What scholars??? Your mistaken. Jesus died in the spring. He was about 30 (according to the Bible) when He began His ministry, and died 3 and a half years later on the cross. Proving He was born in the fall. :)

  • 3.Yes, but again, Dec 25th was pre-Julian calendar. That date is the 21st now.

4.How about Alex Anatole? An Eastern Orthodox christian since 1953 and scholar on Christianity. He states [in response to someone asking if there is any evidence that Jesus' ministry lasted 3-3 1/2 years], "Come to think of it, there is no direct statement on the length of His public ministry."

So...Where do you get your "half year" number?

  • I just posted a near 500 character answer, and it didn't post. I'll try later... :(

  • Alex Anatole: I don't think that anyone who thinks that "sunday" is the Lord's day, is a Biblical scholar.

Half-year: In a couple of prophecies: read Daniel 9:27 and in Luke 13:32 after about 6 months of ministry "And He (Jesus) said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox (Herod), Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and the 3rd day I shall be perfected". A day (in prophecy) is a (literal) year, according to Ezek 4:4-6

    etc...

  • I found your quote, and I'm amazed how you left out the last part...

"Question: Is there any strong biblical evidence that His ministry

was only 3 - 3 1/2 years? Or even from secular sources?"

Answer: "Come to think of it, there is no direct statement on the length of His public ministry. Perhaps some time span could be derived from the context of the other named parties and what is known of their lives - Herod, Pilot, etc."-Alex Anatole

  • yes, that is the rest of the quote...do you not notice that this SCHOLAR makes that statement as if it is clearly just an assertion that he's aware that he doesn't have any clear knowledge that this math will make out to the 3.5 time period that you are so confident? Now, where do you get this precise time frame?

If all you have is the "about 6 months" line you've give so far, with nothing to tag it to a precise 3 years prior then you are going to need more.

  • I forgot to mention...

The Bible doesn't say that Jesus started ON his birthday either...it says ABOUT 30...so from ABOUT 30 and ABOUT 6 months (even if you can find something else that says ABOUT 3 years) you still don't have anything solid each to pin down a month.

  • The Jews(Jesus included) didn't celebrate their birthdays. They(the Jews)knew at what time of the year they were born;that's why it says He was about 30.

I didn't pin down a month;I said that He was probably born in late Sept.or early Oct. based on shepharding practices.

If u look into everything Jesus did, where He travelled and how far(Jesus walked)and approximately how long He would have stayed at each place...u get approx.6 months(Jesus wouldn't have travelled long distances on the Sabbath).

  • ok, so since they don't celebrate birthdays, you assume "about 30" means within a month of turning 30? Why wouldn't it mean 29 and 9 months or 30 and 3 months? Not to even mention that "about 30" could mean 31, 32, 28, 29, etc.

ON TOP OF THAT, you are making some very broad assumptions on how long he would have stayed somewhere and some extreme limitations on time of travel for a man that could WALK ON WATER!

There is no telling how far you could be off.

  • Jesus walked on water to show the apostles, He had command over, even nature! He didn't do it to "show off". Jesus was fully God and fully man at the same time. He was God clothed with humanity. He did not use His God-hood to impress or show off to people, He used it to help people.

No, the Bible is accurate: He died in the middle of the 70th week (of years) of Daniel, and then the Gospel was preached exclusively to the Jews for another 3.5 years, and then taken to the world by Paul. :)

  • I never said anything about "showing off"...just that you are making broad assumptions about time frames that you don't have even a reasonable amount of information to support. You ignored all of my points and basically replied with "Yeah-huh!"

  • You were implying it, like as though because He walked on water, that He could walk anywhere and never get tired. He lived just like every man does; He got tired and needed rest.

I never ignored "all of my (your) points": I gave you reasons: He had to be 30 to be a priest, and He would have started His ministry immediately. He was not"31,32,28,29 etc."! "Why wouldn't it mean 29 and 9 months or 30 and 3 months?" Why,because He wouldn't be 30,and "30 and 3 months" would then be a different season.

  • "He lived just like every man does"

Yeah, cause every man heals the sick, makes the blind see, raises the dead, walks on water, turns water to wine, etc.

You are STILL making assumptions that he would stay in a town for 1 month vs 6 months vs 2 years vs 2 days. You are STILL making assumptions that he would have started IMMEDIATELY after his birthday and that he AS A GOD would have waited till then. I remind you of the only passage we have of him as an adolescent.

  • Jesus came to help people, not to "show off".

Jesus turned water into wine (grape juice/unformented wine) not booze.

He worked, ate and slept just like every man.

Jesus (God the Son) would have started immediately. His time was short (He knew it) to get His work done.Jesus knew that He had only 3.5 years to minister because of His study/knowledge of the O.T.books(Isaiah, Daniel etc). 1/10th of everything Jesus said was quoting the Old Testament. When Jesus was young He worked n studied the B.

  • I don't seem to be getting my point across here. I understand that YOU think that it was 3.5 years. I understand that YOU think that it's backed by prophecy. You don't have to repeat any of that. You answered the question of where you get your dates.

What I'M SAYING is that the data you are using relies heavily on several assumptions that simply aren't backed up in the NT to support your prophecy, dates, or time lines.

  • No,I understand what your saying...

I'm sure if more christians studied Bible prophecy(and knew that the Bible explains the symbols in other places in the Bible),they would agree with me. :)

Jesus was a Jew and the 1st christian. He fulfilled ALL the OT prophecies about the Messiah. Jesus used the OT to tell His apostles that He was the Messiah. According to you(kh),the Bible has to explain every little thing after it says something. God kept the Bible short, so we could carry it around...

  • "God kept the Bible short, so we could carry it around..."

    LMAO!!!!!!

Have you ever seen what the early scrolls looked like?!!! You aren't carrying one of those around! LMAO!!!!

  • ...He (God),kept it short and to the point. God could have put every little detail in it, about everything, and everything done, and how, but...It (the Bible) would have then been 1,000,000,000,000 pages long. God kept it short and to the point, so that we could carry it around, and copy it, and afford to print it, and to give it to everyone in the world. So, that they could read and understand it, in their lifetime. Sure, Genesis could have been 1,000,000,000 pages of explaning details! :)

  • This is too funny...You do realize that the printing press was still over a THOUSAND YEARS AWAY from being invented, right?

    LOL!

  • Yes, I know when the printing press was invented. Because of the church of the "dark ages" (absence of light(the Bible)), the Bible was with-held from the people. God has always wanted people to have the Bible in their own language, so they can study it for themselves. Satan (through other entities) has always tried to destroy the Bible, and to stop it from getting to the people.

  • "God has always wanted people to have the Bible in their own language"

You don't know the history of the Latin and English versions of the Bible...do you?

Unless Satan was the church (which raises interesting issues), I'm afraid your position fails. Not to mention that you still haven't addressed the MILLENNIUM that passed by in between.

  • Actually, yes I do.The church of "the dark ages" has tried to stop it,though.

Satan has corrupted the church,by having his people join, and destroying/perverting it from the inside. That is why churches have strayed from the Bible. The Bible (Revelation 17)calls these fallen churches: "the great harlot (the woman in Revelation with the golden cup filled with fermented wine)" and her daughters(churches that have come out of her). The Bible says that a woman in prophecy, is a church(Jeremiah 6:2).

  • The church of the "dark ages" use to kill people who had texts of the Bible.Satan has been using this church, and her "daughter" churches to try and destroy God's people. Satan hates God and the Bible. And now that Satan can't get at God,he is going after His children (God's people).

Do u know that the head of that church claims to be God? The Bible says that God and God alone can forgive sin.But that church claims they can forgive sin...they can't.Satan wants to be God and wants worship.

    cont'd

  • Did u know that the church of the "dark ages" only has 9 Commandments? They got rid of the 2nd Commandment and split the 9th into 2. And she(that church) claims to have changed the 4th Commandment(you know, the one that begins with the word "Remember".) from Sabbath to Sunday, and lo and behold, all the world wonders after her(including her "daughters"). You know why Satan wants 2 get rid of the 4th Commandment? Answer:Because it has the Seal Of God in it. That church claims "Sunday" is her Mark!

  • The church of the "dark ages" claims "Sunday is a Mark of our authority in religious matters". There is no text in the Bible telling anyone to "keep" Sunday. In the Bible, a Seal has 3 components: His name, his title and his territory. Name: Nebuchadnezzar, Title: King, Territory: Babylon, and like in the U.S.: His name: George W. Bush, his title: President, his territory: The United States of America. God's Seal in the 4th Commandment: Name: God, title: Creator, territory: Heaven and Earth.

  • Guess who wants to pass these "blue laws (Sunday laws)"? Answer:That church and it's "daughter" churches, and almost the whole wide world. It's coming! And no one will stop it.Not me, not you(kh),and not even God's church. This "Mark" will be passed just before the end of time;when all the world begins to fall apart. The Bible doesn't tell us when it will happen;just that it will happen. God will let Satan show his true colors, and the world will begin to fall apart. Then Christ will return! :)

  • I guess we agree on these 3 points, Mr.Heathen:

    1. Don't lie to your children.

    2. Everyone should read the Bible.

    3. Don't keep "Sunday" laws.

And you thought we wouldn't agree on anything! ;) LOL :)

  • I'm with you on 2/3. #2 I'd alter to say that CHRISTIANS should read the Bible. Not much of a point for any one else that isn't interested in world religions (from my vantage point)

BTW, if you are going to write a novel, do it on YOUR channel. I'm not going to sift through that many posts to find something relevant. I read this one and this one alone.

  • I thought you liked "novels". :)

Some answers (in the Bible, and elsewhere) require a lot of words.

Oh come on...you read more than that!

  • No, I didn't...and I'm not going to.

If you need that much to comment on something, do it with a PM or a video response. Otherwise, I'm going to read either the first or last and go from there. If I don't then we end up with 5-10 posts each exchange.

FOR EXAMPLE, about a week ago, I replied to something that you posted but you never answered my question to you. Why? Because I had been replying to 3 different topics you replied to and you missed seeing my other two replies.

  • Also...

A Jew (at the time of Christ) couldn't be a priest until he was 30 years old. Jesus kept that practice.

Jesus died at Passover. So, from the spring (Passover) + 30 years + 3.5 years (approx) = the Fall of the year.

  • Oops! That was suppose to be:

Jesus died at Passover(Spring). So, from the Spring(Passover) - 30 years - 3.5 years (approx.) = the Fall of the year.

  • Also:according to the 490 year prophecy(70 weeks of years in Daniel 9:24,25)(which begins with "the command to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, unto Messiah the prince..."-which starts in 457 BC(Fall) and ends in 34 AD(Fall). Jesus (born in 4 BC(Fall) began His ministry in 27 AD(Fall) and died in 31 AD(Passover(Spring)). The Gospel was then preached for 3.5 more years exclusively 2 the Jews(until the stoning of Stephen, where Paul was converted),and then taken 2 the gentiles (everyone else) by Paul.

  • Note:There is no year 0. Time goes 1 BC then 1 AD, not 1 BC then 0 then 1 AD.

    Jesus was "annointed(Baptised)" in 27 AD(on the 69th week(of years: 69 x 7 days = 483 prophetic days(literal years)of Daniel 9:25.

According to Ezek 4:6 and Numbers 14:34,a prophetic day is equal to 1 literal year.

    In the midst(middle= 31AD(Passover(Spring))) of the 70th week(of years)of Daniel,Jesus was crucified,and Stephen was killed 3.5 years later(34 AD(Fall)).The 70 weeks(490years)for the Jews comes to an end.

  • And then Paul takes the Gospel (Good News) to the gentiles (rest of the world). :)

It's not that complicated, kh! ;)

    Peace!

  • The rest of this is a much better attempt to justify your time line...I suggest sticking to that and not the other part.

The problem is that you make all the same assumptions. You gain scripture to back it up, but assume that it happened precisely at those times without scripture to back you up...so it's a wash. Finish that with loose interpretations of the verse you gave and there you go!

This is a case of forcing a self-made prophecy to fit.

  • God (the Son) made the prophecy, and He fulfilled it, exactly like He said He would! So, yes it is a "self-fulfilling prophecy". :)

I realise you don't believe the Bible. Did you even study the books of Isaiah, Daniel and Revelation in the churches you went to?

  • I studied the ENTIRE Bible...this is why I don't believe it.

Did you know that there is a growing movement to have the Book of Revelation DECANONIZED?! Think about that one.

  • You don't seem to know that much about it...

Let me guess: by atheists, catholics and false protestants...not surprising; they're all on the same side: "we hate the Bible" side. I've known that the devil's side has always wanted to get rid of the Bible. Satan has always hated the Bible, because it tells people about the love of God and His character. :)

  • Oops! Typo...

    That should have been:

"Let me guess: by atheists, the catholic church, and false protestant churches...not surprising, they're all on the same side: "we hate the Bible" side."

  • I read the Bible while a Christian the first time, as a skeptic the second, and as a non-believer the third. The Internet didn't exist back then and atheists books weren't allowed in the stores. I studied through religious sources.

I was never a catholic, and could you please name for me the protestants that "hate the Bible"?

  • So,you "were" a christian the 1st time you read the Bible? Was that like a year?

You realise that "being" a christian, and "claiming to be" a christian, are 2 different things.Jesus said"when you are converted..." Luke 22:32 The Bible says that people will say"have we not..." and Jesus will say "...I never knew you..." Matt.7:22,23

Churches that want to change the Bible based on their immoral practices.Churches that want to make God,gender nuetral.Mega-churches that preach cheap grace etc.etc.

  • Actually no...I had been a Christian for about 4 years. I had tried several times to read the Bible...but with KJV it's a bit difficult to understand as a young man. As I got older I tried again. I was 17 or 18 at that time.

You didn't name which churches you mean (other than the mega church idea...I can figure that one out)...which ones change the Bible based on immoral practices and which practices?

  • So,your saying you only read the Bible once as a christian? Ouch! That's unfortunately how many times most christians read it...then they usually just listen/agree with everything their church says. I was a catholic when I read the Bible(Gideon NT only) the 1st time, and almost instantly became a protestant and read the KJV.

Churches that want to change the Biblical definition of marriage,to their own immoral practices.I'm talking mainly about the church organisation, not most church members.

  • Once was all it took. There were issues in there that I noticed and I looked for answers to them. Keep in mind I am ONLY talking about sitting down with it and going COVER TO COVER...not the number of times I read passages.

And you are wrong. Most Christians NEVER read their Bible from front to back. If more did, there would be more atheists.

On the definition of marriage...can you show me where this is a Bible teaching?

  • marriage:

Genesis 2:24 "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

Matthew 19:4-6 "that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain (two) shall be one flesh?

Wherefore they are no more twain (two), but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."

  • sure, the Bible supports heterosexual couples...

where does it say gays shouldn't do the same thing?

  • "Thou shalt not lie (sexually) with a man as with a woman." Lev.18:22, Romans 1:26..., 1 Cor 6:9,10

  • If you are going to quote Leviticus, are you supporting the required punishment which was then to follow?

  • The short answer(LOL):In the OT,God's people were 2 administer God's laws 2 keep Israel from falling into sin. But,because they(man) failed so miserably,God(not man) will now administer the penaly of the Law at the end of time.Jesus said to let the wheat(saved people) and the tares(the lost) to grow together, until the harvest(end of the world),where the weeds(tares) will b gathered together and burned(eternal death).

The Old covenant is "we" will do...and the New covenant is "God" will do.

  • that was a nice tap dance...but you didn't answer the question...

Are you supporting that your god ordered homosexuals to be executed? I don't give a rat's ass about if you think it applies today or not...do you accept that your god thought being gay was deserving of DEATH!

  • The Bible says that the penalty for all sin is death (eternal death); unless we confess it to God, who will forgive it. According to the Bible, homosexuality is a sin; but it can be forgiven, if we confess it and turn away from it.

You don't think that people are born "homosexuals", do you? Is there scientific proof?

  • actually, yes there is proof that it's from birth...

And you still haven't answered the question.

  • I don't tap dance. :)

  • Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I change not;"

  • I am not going to argue with people about the "true origins" of any holiday. All holidays have cultural aspects borrowed from cultural ideals that manifested over time and who cares what "scholars" tell us the "true meaning" of any holiday is. Good grief, just have fun and celebrate what you want to celebrate. As far as Santa, I will tell me children it is fun to use our imaginations and pretend when we read a good story, watch a movie, and to celebrate and have fun in the holidays.

  • So Santa won't be rejected in my house, but he won't be viewed as real either. Therefore, I won't freak out if they watch the polar express, but I won't try to make them believe in something that isn't real either.

  • Thank you for that sensible comment. People are creating unimportant problems when there is no need to. It is the celebration of the Holiday and not the text book aspects of it that matters.

If only more people had more sense like you do.

  • and correction the most importsnt holiday is easter

  • If u do some research, santa clause is actually some pagan god that comes down on the solstice

  • Christmas wasn't even originally a christian holiday. Christians took the holiday from the pagen religion to try to convert them. They have proven that if there ever was a Jesus from what the bible says he would have been born in july, and that pagens celebrated it before christians. Thats also why theres a tridition of decortating a tree. Pagens worshiped trees and nature and that stuff.

  • I love it how everytime you post a vid on a topic, another topic is discussed in the comment field... lol

By the way, kids, consider April 24th to be Jesus' new birthday! lol

(sorry for that, felt like a bit of hubris was deserved to lighten the mood...)

  • you are not normal.

  • I think Santa Clause was proposed to sell Xmas. A good consiparcy theory could be made. Corperations invented S.C. and said he a psuedo-St. Nick so it was just part of the Holiday fun. This boosts our Consumer based economy.

  • wow she must have fed up realy bad for them to take the kid away from the mother. go you for getting him and not lying to him

  • Yeah, but most children do not believe in the magic tiger. They pretend to do so.

  • Santa clasue did exist he died years ago though, thats what you should teach your children, let them mke up their own mind about things otherwise they are not their views

  • I liked this vid. You actually shared something. Will write you a message. Not going to say it here.

  • Humm...I don't think I ever believed any of that Santa or Easterbunny stuff. (even though in Germany, it wasn't santa, but the Christkind, so actually baby Jesus).

I'm pretty sure I always sorta knew that stuff wasn't real. I knew why adults said it was.

But then I might be filling blanks. My childhood memories are fairly incomplete, by my own standarts, so I might simply not remember belief.

  • but in a non religious sense I celebrate it simply as a time to come together in a fun celebration of goodwill. Therefore, even though I am not a Christian, if I ever have a child I will teach them about Santa as a symbol and a lesson about the importance of generosity, kindness, and goodwill in general

  • I am not a Christian, but I come from a Christian family, so I've always celebrated Christmas with them. Personally, I've always liked the idea of Santa even after I stopped believing that there was such a person because to me he represents the spirit of goodwill and giving. I am Wiccan and so I celebrate Yule, but I still celebrate Chritsmas with my family because, for one thing, the ideas and stories behind both are very similar, so I see Christmas as being a part of Yule in a way,

  • Hello KH,

All of the Christians I know do not lie to their children about Santa Claus. The Santa Claus story is far more tied to and used by the secular society than the Christian society. Christians pay little attention to Santa Claus during the Christmas season but pay great attention to Jesus Christ. The only tied that Santa Claus has to Christianity is the old saint named Nicholas of Myra.

I disagree with lying to children.

    Merry Christmas.

  • Happy Hanukkah!

  • Thank you!

  • YOURE AMERICAN: CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS OR GTFO!

im not a christian, but i still celebrate Christmas! It OWNS all other holidays

    christmas ftw

  • New Year is the best Holiday. It pwns. So there.

  • Oh and by the way I don't remember reading that CHRISTmas trees are for Heathens.

Please quote the verse for me.

  • Jeremiah 10:2-4

    Look it up yourself.

  • Yes I do totally agree about the hole lieing thing, you were right in not doing that because not only did your son not have to be mad when he found out there is no Santa. But you also established trust with your son, and I respect you for that!

  • You know the South Park episode where Cartman finds out there is no Tooth Fairy?

  • OMG! Everything you said happened to me! I HATED the fact that my parents lied to me about Santa and my FIRST question was "Well, then does GOD exist?" which provided some funny backpedaling and special pleading. I chose NOT to lie to my children and told them Santa etc were just story characters like "The Power Rangers". We do celebrate Christmas using these characters like ghosts on Halloween. When I was a Christian I was heavily opposed to them for EXACTLY the reasons you mentioned.

  • Christmas is definitely an important part of the year, its the birth of Jesus. However we wouldn't have diddly if he didn't die for our sins and ascend to heaven--> Easter. Both are equally weighty and important. Most are under the impression that its all about Santa because the holidays have become so Commercialized! They've lost the true meaning. however some parents have santa for little children so they can enjoy it more and make it a great experience for them. for some that's what works

  • I think most people know that Christmas is supposed to be Jesus. I haven't met someone who doesn't, and I've gotten around.

  • *sigh*

Christmas has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with the birth of Jesus...

ANY scholar will tell you that Jesus was unquestionably NOT born on Dec.25th. Look it up yourself or watch my video from last year "The Christmas Tree"

  • I have looked it up for myself. Biblical and historical scholars are equally divided over that question, and the truth is, there are MANY possible birth dates. But you have to ask yourself, is the actual date really relevant? Why not simply enjoy the season for what it is, time of joy, family, happiness and good cheer? Lots of people have birthdays on a thursday, but the party is on saturday. Worrying whether the birthday party is going to be on the right date takes away from the party, no?

  • Tell me, WHY do those that say that it is absolutely without a doubt NOT Dec 25th feel so adamant that it IS NOT that time of year? This isn't rocket science. It's a no brainer. Any "scholar" that doesn't admit that Dec 25th was simply selected for political reasons shouldn't be called a "scholar"...this is all CLEARLY documented.

  • Ah, there's the KH we love to "love."

THe simple fact is that most "real Christians" are simply trying to extend some childhood innocence, rightly or wrongly. They all find out one way or another and it's NOT that big a deal...

  • Was that a comment towards me? If it was it had nothing to do with addressing my point. Interesting and true though, but still...?

  • my vid response addresses something not entirely unlike your point here, however it's mostly about the meaning of christmas and some thoughts I had, hope you find it interesting if at all thought provoking. Actually lets hope you can understand me first off...happy winter solstice you heathen.

  • The only time in my life that my mother and father (while they were still married) hired a Santa Claus to give the presents to me and my big brothers was back when I was 2-3 years old. It wasn't very succesful though...

At the sight of the Santa I hid behind the couch and I screamed, cried and wailed in terror until the Santa left. Why I was afraid of him eventhough I knew the Santa stories is a mystery.

I haven't experienced such terror even in my nightmares in the 20 years I've lived since.

  • Well, I don't know about Finnland, but here in Deutschland, St. Nick is suppoesed to have Knecht Ruprecht in tow, and that guy _will_ hurt kids. So you might have had good reason to be scared :D

  • i remember that wily ol' Knecht from when American education was still decent and we actually learned about the world in school. That little bastard had me scared shitless until I was in sixth grade.

  • I guess I was lucky to realize that guy wasn't real, either. But now that I think about it, I was still scared shitless by other things, mostly volcanos and tornados.

Should those be spelled with "oe"? Volcanoes? Tornadoes? Potatoes? Dan Quayloes? :D

  • That's the first time I hear about Knecht Rupert so it can't have my Santa-fear. But I know nowadays that back in the 80's many Santas for hire wore ugly clothes (like long inside-out furcoats and plastic masks that made them look pretty much about dead or eyeless) and that some Finnish parents told their kids that Santa brings gifts to nice kids, and either takes away the naughty ones or brings them twigs that their parents can use to spank them.

But I don't remember hearing about when I was 3.

  • I was raised agnostic, and have never been swayed by religious arguments. My family did celebrate with a tree and Santa though, and I probably will with my own kids one day. I think it's a fairy tale that's unrelated to Jesus. It's a celebration of winter, and that's fine with me. Otherwise there's nothing to look forward to during winter! However, we celebrate giftmas closer to New Year's day so we can catch all the bargains and have more time to travel and shop. It works for us, anyway.

  • i did not grow up celebrating Christmas, for religious reasons in my case.i myself am thankful for this.but i have run into people that have acted like i was abused as a child because my parents did not lie to me,nor felt compelled to buy me gifts due to slick marketing.instead i had to settle for all the times they bought me gifts spontaneously due to authentic emotion throughout the year(the horror, the horror)

  • Easter is the most important holiday of the christians I thought? Christmas is just more commercially successful

  • Hello Kingheathen !

As i was growing up we never had santa come and give us the presents, reason being that my mother was raised in a very religous home (my grandfather was a preacher) and this sort of backlashed on me in a positive way ! because my mother was religiously abused she never imposed my grandfathers beliefs on me or my sister. this is something i'm eternaly grateful for. in a way my mothers rebellion against her parents was to make me a freethinker.

Best wishes to you and yours !

  • hey man, im an atheist, and usually agree with what you say, but on this one i dont. I dont find anything wrong with santa claus and the whole idea, its just a bit of fun that adds to the enjoyment of christmas, i remember when i was a kid i used to love the magic of christmas and all that business, when i found out he wasnt real, i wasnt pissed off, and ive never heard anyone else being 'pissed off' about it. Just because you didnt enjoy the brief santa dilusion, doesnt mean your son wont.

  • Very well put.

  • The Bible says xmas trees are for heathens -> tinyurl com 5vj8xw.

    So what gives, KH?

  • "The Bible says xmas trees are for heathens"

And I'm the King of all Heathens...makes sense to me.

  • Hail to the king baby.

  • I am a christian. And no, I dont do santa clause. Frog in the kettle syndrome. Pagan rituals. i agree with what he is saying.

  • good for you King Heathen about being honest with your kids

  • My wife and I are no longer christians and we do the Santa Clause thing with our kids. Because it's fun.

Right or wrong I don't know but,we all love it.

  • Isn't it better to say to your kids "I gave you these presents because I love you"?

  • I let them believe that Santa brought them a couple of gifts and ate the cookies but mommy and daddy gave them the rest of the gifts.

I tell them and show them everyday, many times a day that I love them. I don't need a special day or season for that.

  • Santa Clause isn't crap---it represents a dream most of us have: love, joy, gifts, sharing.

Once that is gone...you have what? Church?

I understand your views, I just don't agree. I loved Santa Clause, and still do, as do most kids. Life is entirely too long listening to "the truth"...what's wrong with a little joy?

    Peace OUT :)

Tory/Magoo---X-Cult member after 30 years "in", escaped out, and was helped by God and higher powers to escape--so I understand God, too, now.

  • PS: Congratulations on your custody win, too!

    T

ToryMagoo44 for the truth behind one of the most hypocritical: Scientology, if anyone is interested.

  • dude you will have to give me your attorney

winning full custody in a red state unbelievable

  • they did not tell you that you would go to hell. they do not beleive in hell. the beleif is that the good will be resurected into a paradise form of earth, and the non-christians will stay dead forever with no after life. jehovah's witnesses do not beleive in heaven or hell as an afterlife (with the exception of 144,000 people going to heaven to rule with jesus).

  • Christians are just Pagans in denial of the truth.

  • That is sort of true. I mean Christianity is basically a mix of Judaism and Paganism. Whatever they don't take from Paganism they oppose.

  • The Christmas song "I saw mommy kissing Santa Clause" upset me as a child - I thought it was a case of marital infidelity. I was worried that my own mother might run off with Santa. Don't worry! She didn't. She ran off with the TV repair man.

  • My little brother wrote that. Sorry

  • I don't think I'd lie to my children about this Santa Clause crap, it doesn't matter whether what I believe in.

  • The Santa Claus thing sounds like they are talking about a demi-god(thou shall have no other gods before me.)

  • It's funny how christians lie about santa to their own, yet they claim to be honest.

  • You have a lot of very valid points in this video, and I tend to have similar thoughts in regard to Santa vs. Jesus at Christmas.

The only concern I have is I think Christmas is supposed to be the second most important Christian holiday, with Easter being the most important. The logic is something to the effect of "Any jerk could be born mircaulously from a virgin, but only Jesus could die the way and for the reasons he did."

  • As I see it, it is imposible to be born of a virgin. Where does the y chromosome come from? And, any idiot can be die from being nailed to a piece of wood.

  • I see what you're saying, stuffisgd, but I think you missed the point of my comment. A person doesn't have a choice in whether they are born, but people can choose how they live. The way the story plays out, the act of being alive, while being "holy," and being killed are more important than actually having been born.

For the dogma, the birth is entirely unimportant, other than to further prove divinity and to say that Jesus arrived at some time.

So again, Xmas is second, Easter is first

  • saint nick was a saint back then.. it was a true story though.. he like through gifts in peoples windows and it fell in some guys stocking and thats where we got the tradition for stockings. and believe me im atheist. but the whole jesus shit is gay. we should just enjoy presents and the energy of our loved ones at X-mas

  • "and it fell in some guys stocking and thats where we got the tradition for stockings."

    Actually, that's way off.

But it's interesting that the "Chinese telephone" has dialed that many numbers to come up with this one...

Do a search on it and you'll see what I mean.

  • Yeah, my bad. Sorry.

  • KH, you should have said HO HO HO on the end and laughed at the camera.

  • I always thought the santa thing was kinda cool, but since I grew up in a poor community I never really got to participate in the whole santa clause thing, because by the time i was 4 or 5 i realized that all my buddies were getting there christmas from the salvation army.

  • Are you a regular at AA?

  • AA is for quitters.

  • When I was 5, I snuck out of bed and hid behind the couch waiting for Santa. I stayed awake all night, watching my parents eat and drink cookies and milk and when they finally got to wrapping the presents, I jumped out and and said something that I don't remember.

I did the same thing for the Easter bunny, and for the tooth fairy test, I hid my tooth under the mattress instead of the pillow and stayed awake all night with a camera, only to take a picture of my mother; who was very pissed off.
