My roommate ended up winning out of 50 robots total. And his is the one the camera is focused on in the lower left hand corner. There was an epic moment when another robot crashed into his and he appeared to be jammed and it looked like he was going to get fourth place as he did not make any deposits...but then...after a few moments, his code had a time out function on it to force the lift down and in doing so, crushed the other robot.

Yeah the project was a quarter long process of creating the robot with a budget and developing the code for it to run autonomously. There were 3 objects in a factory that needed to be moved based on their priority--which was signaled to the robot through an IR sensor. Once the IR was read, the robot then acted as the programmers desired and went for whatever objects they felt they could easily obtain and get the most points for.
