I have a dane elec USB Portable Flash drive 8gigs and When I put it in my mac it doesn't notify me or open a file of it, do I need a new USB?

You have forgotten to mention few features that do not exist on other Dane Elec products. I just bought Dane Elec SO G stream, and it sucks. From the main screen you can watch your movie from where it has stopped. It can play some WMV files.
